口9の外周部位に、弁箱1に組付けたハンドル2

4との連通を開閉する止水弁26を設けて構成し
てあるのだから、弁箱1の湯供給口2および水供
給口3から取り込まれる湯と水とが、弁箱1内の
軸筒状のカートリツジボデイ5の周壁に設けた湯
入口7と水入口8とからそのカートリツジボデイ
5内に入り、そのとき、そのカートリツジボデイ
5内の弁機構10により所定の湯と水との混合比
になつて、それにより所定の温度の湯(混合水)
となりカートリツジボデイ5の周壁に設けた混合
水出口9から弁箱1に設けた混合水取出口4を経
て、外部に取出されるようになる。そして、その
外部に取出される湯である混合水を、混合水出口
9の外側に設けた止水弁26が、混合水出口9と
混合水取出口4との連通を開閉することにより、
止水と通水とに切換えるようになる。このため、
調節ダイヤル22を回動して弁機構10の作動位
置を所望に調整することで混合水出口9から混合
水取出口4を経て外部に取出す湯の温度を所望に
調整できることにより、また、調整した状態でハ
ンドル28を回動させて止水弁26を動かすこと
で、その調整した温度の湯を、調整を崩すことな
く止水と通水とに随時切換られるようになる。
