TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a sex attractant for Okinawakanshi Kumetsuki. Melanotusokinawansis Ohira is an important pest of sugarcane. The larvae are underground in sugarcane buds,
Because it damages the root zone and stems, sugarcane seedlings suffer from missing plants, growing stems suffer from heart wilt or severely stunted growth, and harvested stems suffer from red rot caused by feeding damage, resulting in a decline in quality and yield. . Also,
This species is also a type of wire beetle that has been cited as one of the causes of seedling failure, which has been a problem in sugarcane cultivation in Okinawa Prefecture for the past 10 years. For control, chemical treatment has been used at the time of planting, but since the adults that appear in early spring lay eggs,
No fundamental control method has been established. In recent years, chemical control methods for growing sugarcane have been studied, but because they are soil pests, it is difficult to predict the density of their infestation, and it is important to accurately grasp the amount of adult insects that appear in early spring. On the other hand, the chemical structures of so-called sex pheromones for many pests have recently been clarified, and it has become possible to efficiently investigate the development and development of pests using these attractive sex pheromones. Sex pheromones are generally chemical substances secreted by adult females that exhibit a species-specific attracting effect on adult males of the same species. By clarifying the chemical structure of such attractive sex pheromones and using them as so-called sex attractants, it becomes possible to efficiently investigate their development and development. Furthermore, it is also possible to control pests targeting the adult stage by using this sex attractant to attract and kill a large number of males or to disrupt the mating behavior of males and females. Under these circumstances, the results of a field experiment using virgin females of the Okinawakanshi Yakushikometsuki as an attraction source revealed that female adults attract a large number of male adults and a small number of female adults. The present inventors conducted research on the substance released from this virgin female, extracted the component that has attractant activity, and determined its chemical structure. Furthermore, the researchers found that the compound exhibits an effective attracting effect on male and female adults of the Okinawakanshikushikumetsu. The present invention was completed based on these findings. The compound in the present invention has the structural formula: This is shown in . When the above-mentioned compound according to the present invention is used as an active ingredient of an attractant for Okinawa kansei kumiceki, various forms of use are possible. This compound is adsorbed onto a suitable carrier (such as various synthetic polymers, natural rubber, etc.) or encapsulated in a molded product of these carrier materials, and used in the form of a string, cylinder, or sphere. The content of the active ingredient can be determined as appropriate, but when adsorbed onto a carrier or encapsulated in a molded carrier material, the content is preferably about 1 to 1000 mg per gram of the carrier. A carrier or carrier material molded product containing such an active ingredient is placed on a suitable support, for example, on a container (vat etc.) containing water or other liquid, or on an object coated with a suitable adhesive substance. By placing the container at or near the container, the Okinawa Kashikometsuki is attracted and falls into a container (such as a butt) or becomes trapped in the sticky substance and dies. The present invention will be explained in detail below. In order to elucidate the chemical structure of the attractant of the Okinawa Kashikometsuki, we first collected the attractant active substance emitted by virgin females using paper. The presence or absence of activity was determined using the following assay method. A glass cylinder with a diameter of 8 cm and a length of 60 cm was used, and wind at a rate of 40 cm per second was flowed through it. The sample was placed on the windward side and the male adult was released from the leeward side. If the insect was active, it was determined that the adult male exhibited arousal behaviors such as protruding copulatory organs, moving around, and flying, and was attracted to the sample. The paper adsorbed with about 2,500 virgin females was washed with hexane, concentrated, and fractionated using a column packed with Florisil. The active fraction was eluted with 5% ether/hexane. When this fraction was further purified using a column packed with silver nitrate silica gel, the active fraction was eluted with 3% ether/petroleum ether. Next, the active fraction was purified by gas chromatography. 3%
When the OV-101 column was used, activity was observed at a relative retention time of 0.83 to 1.18 with dodecyl acetate. When this portion was further purified using a 10% PEG-20M column, activity was observed only in peaks with relative retention times of 0.92 to 1.10 with dodecyl acetate. Next, the following analysis was performed to determine the chemical structure of this peak. Analyzed with a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer (equipment: JEOL D-300, column: 10% PEG 20M at 200°C, ionization voltage:
70 eV), which matched the spectrum of acetate ester of a saturated linear alcohol with 12 carbon atoms. The mass spectrometry spectrum is shown in FIG. Based on the above, the attractants of Okinawakanshi Kushikometsuki are compounds with the following chemical structure, It was concluded that Next, we compared the attraction activity of virgin females with a composite of ingredients for which this activity has been demonstrated in the field. Using a U-shaped adhesive trap, the attraction activity between virgin females and rubber caps impregnated with 1 to 10 mg of the synthetic product was compared. The results are shown in Table 1.

[Table] From the above, it is clear that a rubber cap impregnated with 5 mg of dodecyl acetate synthetic product has a strong attracting force comparable to that of four virgin females.
In addition, the ratio of solid males and females killed by traps using virgin females and synthetic products as attractants was
Both were almost the same at 95.5-4.5 and 95.8-4.2.
