However, such conventional methods require a relatively large amount of adhesive, and the adhesive is applied discontinuously to the substrate surface using a screen printing device, making the application process complicated and reducing production. In addition, depending on the type and shape of the particulates, part of the lower part of the particulates may be simply stuck in the state when it is spread and attached to the substrate surface through the adhesive coating layer. Therefore, the holding power of the adhesive coating layer for the granules is small, and in practical use, there is a drawback that the granules peel off due to impact or friction, making the pattern unclear.

On the other hand, in order to improve these drawbacks, a relatively small amount of adhesive is applied to the surface of the substrate, and then thermoplastic synthetic resin particles, which are melted by heating and exhibit self-adhesive properties, are sprinkled on the surface of the applied layer. There is also a method in which the granules are then heated to slightly melt them and more firmly adhere to the substrate surface.

According to this method, since only a small amount of adhesive is required, the adhesive can be applied to the substrate surface using a highly productive coating device such as a flexographic printing device, and there is no risk of particulate matter peeling off. Because the surface of the granules melts, the shape of the granules as a whole collapses, resulting in only a uniformly rounded raised pattern with a low height, resulting in a monotonous decorative design effect.
Since the granules are made of synthetic resin, they have the disadvantage of being expensive.

In order to eliminate these various drawbacks, the present invention has the following features:
The surface of granular materials such as pearlite, glass balloons, sand grains, etc. is coated with a thermoplastic resin layer in advance, and this granular material is spread and adhered to the adhesive layer applied in a pattern on the substrate surface, and then the surface is coated with a thermoplastic resin layer. By heating and melting only the thermoplastic resin coating layer, granules of various types or shapes can be made to appear on the decorative surface without impairing the beauty of the shape,

To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative board having a raised pattern that protects the surface of fragile granules and prevents the granules from peeling off by firmly adhering to the surface of the substrate.

An embodiment of the method of the present invention will be explained based on the drawings. First, as shown in FIG. The adhesive coating layer 2 is formed by applying the adhesive in a desired pattern using a suitable coating device such as printing or gravure printing.

The adhesive used only needs to have sufficient adhesiveness to allow particulate matter to adhere to the coating layer 2.
As such an adhesive, for example, vinyl acetate resin, acrylic resin, urea resin, and various other organic and inorganic adhesives can be used, as well as liquid materials containing such adhesives. , paint-like materials, paste-like materials, etc. can also be used.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2, a large number of granules 3 whose surfaces are covered with a thermoplastic resin film 5 are scattered and adhered to the surface of the patterned coating layer 2 of the adhesive. Surplus particulate matter 3 that is not attached
is removed by suction, and then heated to a state where the thermoplastic resin coating 5 of the granular material 3 is thermally melted using an appropriate heating means such as a dryer or a bunker burner.
The granules 3 are integrally continuous between the layers 3 and 3 and are also continuous between the surfaces of the coating layer 2, and by cooling in this state, a raised pattern is formed in which the granules 3 firmly adhere to the substrate 1 as shown in FIG. do.

Note that the granular material 4 is a material that is easily deformed by heating (for example, thermoplastic synthetic resin granules, etc.).
When using a thermoplastic synthetic resin constituting the resin coating 5, a thermoplastic synthetic resin having a softening point lower than the temperature at which the granular material 4 starts to deform can be selected and used.

As described above, in the present invention, after applying an adhesive on the surface of a substrate in an arbitrary pattern, granules whose surfaces are covered with a thermoplastic resin coating are sprinkled on the coated surface, and then the resin coating of the granules is applied. The method of manufacturing a decorative board is characterized in that the granular material is fixed to the coating surface via a molten resin by heating and melting the granular material, the surface of which is covered with a thermoplastic resin coating. Since the raised pattern is formed using
When the resin coating is melted by heating, it exhibits self-adhesive properties, and the contact surface between the surface of the granular material covered with the resin coating and the adhesive coating layer increases through the molten resin, and the mutual compatibility is good. As a result, the particulate matter can be firmly fixed to the substrate surface, and a decorative board can be obtained in which the particulate matter does not peel off even when subjected to impact, friction, etc. in practical use.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3, when the granules are coated on the adhesive coating layer in close contact with each other, the granules are fused to each other and are more firmly fixed.

Furthermore, in the method of the present invention, since the resin coating on the surface of the granular material is melted, a raised pattern made of granular material having a desired shape and texture can be formed without damaging the shape of the granular material used. Compared to the uniformly rounded, low-height raised pattern obtained when using plastic synthetic resin particles,
It is also possible to easily form a variety of raised patterns that are rich in three-dimensionality and naturalness.

Furthermore, even if the granular material used in the present invention is a fragile material such as pearlite, it can be fully put to practical use because its surface is reinforced with a thermoplastic resin coating. Since the material melts when heated and exhibits self-adhesive properties, the amount of adhesive applied to adhere these particulate materials can be small, making it a highly productive and workable adhesive for flexo printing equipment, etc. Application means can be employed.
