On-demand inkjet recording devices that eject ink droplets onto a recording medium are superior in that they do not generate noise during recording and can record on plain paper, but on the other hand, piezoelectric elements Because the amount of distortion is small, the effective area of the element must be increased in order to eject ink droplets of the required particle size, and it has been said that it is difficult to arrange a large number of ejection ports at high density. In addition to having problems,
Since it takes time for the sucked ink to return when the element is restored, there is a problem in that the recording speed cannot be increased.

A heating means for heating the recording liquid in response to a recording signal is provided near the droplet ejection orifice of the recording liquid flow path, and one end is provided on the upstream side of the heating means and the other end is on the downstream side of the heating means. The present invention relates to a recording droplet ejection type recording device that is provided with a bypass flow path communicating with the flow path.

An ink chamber 5 is provided, one end of which communicates with an ink tank 4 via a tube 3, and the other end of this ink chamber 5 is formed as an orifice 6 for discharging ink droplets. A cylindrical heating element 7 made of a resistor or the like is integrally provided, and by applying a drive signal to electrodes 8 provided at both ends of the heating element 7, the ink in that area is vaporized and the volumetric expansion is utilized. The ink droplets are ejected from the orifice 6 in this manner.

It communicates with the chamber 5 and is configured to replenish ink to the downstream side of the heating element 7 by the negative pressure generated after ink is ejected.

b)。 Therefore, when a signal voltage is applied to the cylindrical heating element 7 provided on the inner surface of the orifice 6, the ink in that area is heated and vaporized (Fig. 2a), and due to the volumetric expansion at that time, it The ink that had been stably positioned in front of it by forming a meniscus a is ejected as ink droplets toward a recording medium (not shown), and at the same time, the ink heated and vaporized by the heating element 7 is heated and The liquid is ejected while wiping away ink, etc. adhering to the inner surface of the tube (Fig. 2b).

c)。 When ink droplets and vaporized ink are ejected from the orifice 6 in this way, the pressure in the flow path from the heating element 7 to the orifice 6 decreases rapidly.
While new ink flows into the downstream side of the heating element 7, new ink flows into the downstream side of the heating element 7 through a bypass pipe 9 connected thereto, and the heating element 7 is effectively cooled by this new ink. On the other hand, a new meniscus is quickly formed between the inner surface of the orifice 6 and the position for the next recording is prepared (Fig. 2c).

Since the recording liquid is ejected as a liquid, a mechanism for directly pressurizing the recording liquid is not necessary, and this type of recording apparatus can be significantly downsized, and at the same time, the density of the composite head can be increased.

ができる。 Moreover, since the recording liquid flow path is provided with a flow path that bypasses the heating means, recording liquid can be quickly filled into the heating section from the downstream and upstream sides after the droplets are ejected, greatly improving the recording speed. At the same time, the heating means can be effectively cooled by supplying new recording liquid, thereby preventing recording malfunctions.
