As a means to reduce the depth (during installation) of a refrigerator or as a means to improve the rear design, the compressor and condenser (conventionally installed leaking into the back of the refrigerator) are generally housed in the machine compartment, and these compressors and condensers are There are many types of refrigerators on the market that use a blower to forcibly radiate heat from the refrigerator and condenser to the outside.

Also, recently, refrigerators that use the back plate of the refrigerator as a condenser and have an improved design for that part alone have become commercially available. However, the above-mentioned type of refrigerator that uses a blower to forcibly emit heat to the outside has the disadvantage that not only does the cost of installing the blower increase, but the power consumption goes back by operating the blower. . In addition, for the latter type of refrigerator where only the condenser serves as the back plate, the design of that part is improved, but the machine compartment where the compressor is housed is completely visible from the back, so the back design is This is not to say that the design of other refrigerator surfaces has improved. Furthermore, in the case of this type of refrigerator, the back plate of the refrigerator that serves as the condenser and the installation area must be installed with a space between it and the wall so as not to block the heat radiation of the previous condenser, so it is installed side by side. There was a defect in which items could be dropped from the sink or the like into the space formed between the back of the refrigerator and the wall.

In order to improve these defects, the present invention installs a cover plate over almost the entire length of the refrigerator to form a chimney between it and the back plate of the refrigerator, and transfers the heat from the compressor and condenser installed in the machine room to the chimney. By using this method, heat was radiated outside by natural convection without using a blower, and this cover plate could be attached closely to the back wall, etc., making it possible to obtain an inexpensive refrigerator. be.

The details of the present invention will be described below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes a refrigerator body. A machine room 7 is formed to house the 6. 9 is an interior 8 formed by the inner box 4
This is a door that closes the opening on the front of the Reference numeral 10 denotes a cover plate that is attached to the back plate 2a of the refrigerator with a slight interval (30 to 70 mm) therebetween. As shown in FIG. 1, this cover plate 10 is provided over the entire length of the refrigerator body and also covers the machine compartment 7. That is, this cover plate 10 forms a chimney 11 between it and the refrigerator back plate 2a. 12 is the chimney 11
It is a decorative frame having a discharge port 13 attached to the upper end of the frame. This decorative frame 12 also has a handle 14. Also, it is very convenient to use the handle 14 when attaching the decorative frame 12 to the refrigerator body 1. 15 is a base forming the lower surface of the machine room 7. The lower end of the cover plate 10 is in contact with this base 15, so that the machine room 7 and the chimney 11 are juxtaposed. 16
is a suction port provided on the base 15. The condenser 6 is placed directly above the suction port and across the entire width.
is provided. As shown in the figure, these are all installed in the machine room 7, and the compressor 5 is located approximately below the chimney 11, and the wire condenser 6 is installed facing the air intake port. . A machine room cover 19 covers the front surface of the machine room 7 having the suction port 19a. 20 is a defrost water receiver (not shown in the figure, but it is a defrost water receiver used when frost adhering to the cooler is melted). This defrost water receiver 20 is connected to the auxiliary condenser 17 as shown in FIG. The legs 21 are placed on top and the defrosting water is forcibly evaporated. The height of this leg 21 is 20 to 50 mm
This is to create a perfect distance between the bottom surface of the base 15 and the floor surface etc. when the refrigerator is installed. A drive motor 22 drives a blower 23 and is attached to the back of the refrigerator. Reference numeral 24 indicates a refrigerant inlet/outlet pipe to the cooler 25. Both the drive motor 22 and the refrigerant inlet/outlet pipe 24 dislike moisture or high-temperature air. 26 is a case that covers items 22 and 24 above. Heat exchange between the condenser and compressor of a refrigerator with such a configuration and the outside air is as follows:
Suction port 16 and suction port 1 on the bottom of condenser 17
The air entering the wire condenser 6 from 9a causes the condenser 6 to sufficiently exchange heat,
Next, the temperature of the condenser 6, which reaches the compressor 5 section, is normally 40 to 50 degrees Celsius, so it further exchanges heat with the compressor 5, which is at a temperature of around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius, and becomes lighter, rising inside the chimney 11. be. At this time, the chimney 11 serves to collect high-temperature air that has passed through the condenser 6 and compressor 5. Due to the natural convection that occurs in this way, this refrigerator achieves the same effect as conventional refrigerators that use a blower to dissipate heat. Also, in this process, the defrosting water in the defrosting water receiver 20 receives the radiant heat from the auxiliary condenser 17 and the condenser 6 and evaporates. This evaporated air passes through the chimney 11 and is discharged from the discharge port 13. In the present invention, this high-temperature, high-humidity warm air is delivered to the drive motor 22 and the refrigerant inlet/outlet pipe 24 through the case, etc. Since the drive motor 22 is not damaged by moisture, the refrigerant inlet/outlet pipe 24 (particularly low-temperature refrigerant returning from the cooler to the compressor) is not exposed to moisture. It is something.

In the above embodiment, the drive motor 22 of the blower and the inlet/outlet pipe 24 of the refrigerant pipe are covered with the same case, and there is a gap between the case surface and the cover plate through which high-temperature air passes upward from the machine room. Since the dimensions are formed, the resistance inside the chimney 11 does not have to be significantly hindered.

As explained above, the present invention provides a machine room provided on the back side of a refrigerator, a cover plate provided on the back side to cover the machine room and the back side, and a gap between the cover plate and the back side. In the refrigerator, the refrigerator comprises a chimney that is formed in a chimney and opens at the upper surface of the refrigerator, a drive motor for a blower for circulating cold air inside the refrigerator, and an inlet/outlet part for refrigerant piping, which are provided inside the chimney. Since the refrigerator features a case that covers the entrance and exit of the refrigerant piping, it is possible to radiate heat from the compressor and condenser to the outside without installing a blower, and the back design can be improved. Furthermore, when the refrigerator is installed, the refrigerator can be installed in close contact with the back wall to prevent items from falling to the back of the refrigerator. In addition, in the present invention, since the drive motor and the refrigerant piping entrance/exit can be isolated from the chimney through which warm air from the machine room passes, the warm air from the chimney can be separated from the drive motor and the refrigerant piping.
Refrigerant is less likely to enter the refrigerator via piping. Therefore, a refrigerator with good cooling performance can be provided.
