As a type wheel for a conventional printer, a petal-shaped type wheel is used, as shown in FIG. 1, in which a type B is provided at the tip of mutually independent fingers 12 formed radially on a substrate 11. Although this type wheel has a simple structure, residual vibration occurs when the finger returns to its original position after printing by bending the finger, and residual vibration in the lateral direction also occurs after position selection in intermittent printing. In particular, the residual vibration becomes large when the type part is plated with metal and becomes heavy, or when a metal plate is used for the finger part. Therefore, the negative effect on type selection and printing operation is significant.

It has been proposed to attach anti-vibration rubber dampers to the fingers in order to prevent residual vibrations in the fingers, but while this has an anti-vibration effect, it has the drawback of increasing the number of manufacturing steps.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a printing wheel that has an anti-vibration effect without increasing the manufacturing process of conventional printing wheels.

In Fig. 2, fingers 2 are arranged radially on the substrate 1.
is formed, and a type 3 is provided at the tip of the finger 2. Adjacent fingers 2 are connected to each other by bridges 4 which are longer than the finger spacing and are formed in a V-shape, U-shape, etc., in a concave and convex manner with respect to the concentric circle of the rotating substrate. The bridge 4 is integrally formed with the finger 2. Therefore, if finger 2 is made of plastic, bridge 4
can be integrally molded at the same time, or when made of a metal plate, can be integrally formed by etching or pressing. Therefore, no extra processing steps are required to form the bridge.

Since the fingers 2 are connected by the bridge 4, when the finger selected during printing is deflected by the printing hammer and returns to its original position, the vibration of that finger interferes with the vibration of the adjacent finger. and rapidly decay. Therefore, residual vibrations are extremely small.

Furthermore, since the fingers 2 are connected to each other by the concave-convex bridges 4, when one finger is deflected by a printing hammer, the deflection does not have much of an effect on the adjacent finger, so unnecessary deflection is avoided. In addition, the bridge 4 increases the rigidity of the finger portion in the rotational direction, prevents lateral vibration during intermittent printing, and improves the quality of printing.

By providing the bridge 4, even if bending stress acts on the finger 2, the bending stress acting on the root of the finger 2 is alleviated, and the bending fatigue durability of the finger is improved.

Concave and convex bridges can also be formed for two rows of type characters as opposed to one row of type characters as shown in FIG. Furthermore, not only flat type type wheels in which fingers are formed radially on the substrate, but also cup-shaped petal type type wheels in which cylindrical fingers are formed extending outward from the substrate, the fingers can be connected by uneven bridges. , it is possible to obtain the same effect as the flat plate type.

According to the present invention, it is possible to alleviate the application of excessive force to the attachment of each finger, not only for flat type, cup type, continuous rotation printing type, and intermittent printing type, but also to prevent residual vibration of the fingers. Moreover, since no special process is required to form the vibration isolating means, an economical advantage can be obtained.
