The cover 2 is provided with a reading window 21 fitted with a transparent material such as glass or acrylic resin at a portion corresponding to the indicator 31 of the instrument 3 housed therein so that the indicated value can be read from the outside.

る。 When the meter 3 is installed outdoors using the above-mentioned conventional meter box, water droplets adhere to the inner surface of the reading window 21 during meter reading (when reading the indicated value of the meter) and become cloudy like ground glass, making it difficult to read the indicated value. Trouble often arose because they were unable to do so. The reason for water droplets adhering to the inner surface of the reading window 21 is that since the reading window 21 is transparent, its heat ray absorption rate is lower than that of other parts of the cover 2, and its heat dissipation rate is high.For example, when exposed to direct sunlight, This is because the temperature is less likely to rise than other parts and the temperature is lower than other parts. That is, as the temperature of the cover 2 rises due to sunlight irradiation, the air inside the cover 2 that is in contact with the inner surface of the cover 2 is warmed and flows through the inner surface of the cover 2 as shown by the arrow in FIG. However, a warm air current is generated that gradually warms up and rises.

である。 This is because this warm air current comes into contact with the reading window 21 whose temperature is lower than the surroundings and is rapidly cooled down, so that water vapor in the warm air current condenses on the inner surface of the reading window 21.

した新規な計器箱を提供するものである。 This invention provides a reading window 2 in the conventional instrument box.
Focusing on the mechanism of clouding described in No. 1, the present invention provides a new instrument box that prevents clouding due to water droplets adhering to the reading window 21 by making it difficult for warm air to directly touch the reading window 21. .

2 is a cover, which is combined with the base 1 and covers the instrument 3;
is stored in a nearly airtight state. The cover 2 is provided with a reading window 21 covered with a transparent material, such as transparent glass or transparent acrylic resin, facing the front surface 32 of the meter 3 so that the indicated value of the indicator 31 of the stored meter 3 can be read from the outside. , further located below the space 4 facing the front surface 32 of the meter 3 and the reading window 21,
Furthermore, a partition rib 22 is provided whose tip end overlaps with the lower surface 33 of the meter 3 and is formed to partition the entire inner surface of the cover 2 into upper and lower parts.

結露によるくもりが生じない。 Since the instrument box of this invention is constructed as described above,
As described above, even if warm air flows upward while passing through the inner wall of the cover 2, it is blocked by the partition rib 22 and the lower surface 33 of the meter 3, as shown by the arrow in the figure. Therefore, the inflow of warm air into the space 4 facing the front surface 32 of the meter 3 and the reading window 21 is blocked,
The warm air flow hardly touches either the reading window 21 or the front surface 32 of the meter 3, which has a lower temperature than the surroundings, and neither the reading window 21 nor the front surface 32 of the meter 3 is fogged due to condensation.

By simply providing a partition rib 22 in the reading window 21, clouding of the reading window 21 can be prevented, and the serious trouble of not being able to read the meter can be avoided.
