DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Application of the Invention] The present invention relates to a force-sensing finger touch coordinate input device (hereinafter referred to as a touch panel), and particularly to a support device for supporting a touch panel.

The touch panel supports a rigid plate such as a glass plate at three points, and when a force is applied to the face plate, each support point has a component force generated according to the force application point, and the position of the application point is determined by the equation of force balance. (Refer to Utility Model Application Publication No. 55-100136 and Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 56-29777). Therefore, it is necessary to detect only the component force perpendicular to the face plate, regardless of the posture of the face plate or the angle at which the force is applied by fingers, etc., and when the forces are applied to the face plate, each moment can be detected without affecting each other. The structure must transmit a corresponding vertical component to each force detector. When a strain gauge attached to a leaf spring is actually used as a force detector, the face plate and the leaf spring bend when force is applied, so the face plate and the leaf spring are connected at one point, and the connection point is It is necessary to have a structure that can be moved around. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, slotted depressions 5 and 6 were provided at predetermined locations on the face plate 1 at corresponding positions on the front and back surfaces, and these were provided in the two arms 8 and 9 of the combination body 7. A pivot structure sandwiched between conical tips or the like is conceivable. Note that the combined body 7 is the leaf spring 3
The leaf spring 3 is attached to one end of the plate spring 3, and the other end of the leaf spring 3 is fixed to the support body 4 (see Japanese Patent Application No. 54-522).

Since the distance between the tips of this pivot structure is not zero and has a finite size, when the face plate or leaf spring rotates in the vertical direction, the thickness of the joint inside the recess will not be constant, which will prevent smooth rotation. . Furthermore, when a force is applied, a horizontal force is generated on the face plate due to the deflection of the leaf spring, but since there is no escape from the force, it is difficult to completely detect only the vertical component. Furthermore, the smoothness of rotation varies depending on the degree of constriction of the tip of the pivot, making adjustment difficult.

On the other hand, in the above-mentioned Utility Model Application Publication No. 55-100136,
A support portion is shown that connects the leaf spring and the face plate by a spherical body and a holding body that sandwiches the spherical body. With this structure of the support part, the rotatable connection between the spherical body and the clamping body makes it possible to achieve support that does not apply unreasonable force when the leaf spring is deflected, and this rotation is not significantly inhibited by the degree of constriction. Not done. However, even with this structure, there is still no escape of horizontal force, so the horizontal force generated when the face plate expands due to temperature change or when the leaf spring is greatly deflected is transmitted to the leaf spring, and the vertical force of the applied force is transmitted to the leaf spring. It is not possible to accurately detect only the components.

In order to achieve such an object, in the present invention, three supporting parts of the face plate of the touch panel are each configured to have a rotatable joint structure consisting of a spherical body and a clamping body that holds the spherical body, and the first supporting part has a spherical body. The body is held in such a way that the body cannot be moved in one direction, the second support part is movable in one direction, and the third support part is movable in all directions. It is characterized by a configuration that allows for the escape of force in the horizontal direction.

The present invention will be explained below using examples. FIG. 2 is a sectional view showing the structure of one of the support parts of the first embodiment of the present invention, in which a spherical body 12 is sandwiched between metal fittings 10 fixed to the face plate 1, and this spherical body 12 is assembled into a combined body. It is sandwiched between two arms 18 and 19 of 17. Furthermore, by providing the arms 18 and 19 of the combined body 17 with concave grooves 15 and 16 to sandwich the spherical body 12, it is possible to hold the face plate 1 without fear of it moving in the horizontal direction. If the spherical body 12 and either or both of the metal fitting 10 or the joint body 17 are made to move smoothly, it is possible to rotate around the support point without difficulty even if the face plate 1 or the leaf spring 3 is bent. .

In the structure of the support part shown in FIG. 2, rotation around the support point is not strained, and the joint 17
Even if the spherical body 12 is strongly pinched between the arms 18 and 19, the rotation is not affected, so there is no need for adjustment. However, since there is no escape from the horizontal displacement that occurs when the face plate 1 and leaf spring 3 are bent, and from the thermal expansion of the face plate due to temperature differences, all three support parts that support the face plate are structure, it is not possible to completely detect only the vertical component of the applied force. FIG. 3 shows the structure of a second embodiment of the present invention to solve this problem. This is because one of the three supporting points of the face plate 1 is provided with circular recesses 15 and 16 in the arms 18 and 19 of the joint body 17, as shown in FIG. The depressions 25 and 26 are oval so that the spherical body 12 can move in only one direction, and the other support point is either not provided with a depression or is made large so that the spherical body 12 can move in only one direction.
2 can move in all directions.
As a result, any horizontal displacement caused by the deflection of the leaf spring or the like is absorbed by the movement of the spherical body, and by providing circular and oval depressions to sandwich the spherical body, it is possible to prevent the face plate 1 from coming off. Preventing.
The above example has been shown in which the metal fittings 10 that sandwich the spherical body 12 are attached to the face plate 1, and the coupling body 17 is attached to the leaf spring 3.
There is no problem in attaching the metal fitting 10 to the leaf spring 3 and the coupling body 17 to the face plate 1 in the opposite manner. Furthermore, the recesses provided in the arms 18 and 19 of the combined body 17 may be limited to only one arm, as shown in FIG.

As explained above, the present invention improves the structure of the force transmitting part, which is important as the force detecting part of the touch panel.
It is possible to get closer to the ideal state, detect only the vertical component, improve coordinate detection accuracy, and there are also benefits such as no need to adjust the support point and high precision machining. The effect is great.
