FIG. 1 shows the installation state of a general downlight lighting fixture, where A is the socket for the downlight, B is the fixture body, C is the ceiling, and D is the power line. As is clear from such a mounting structure, the dimensions of the downlight fixture are the sum of the embedding depth of the fixture body B and the height of the downlight socket A. On the other hand, the recent trend in architectural structures is to make the dimensions of the ceiling space as small as possible, and conversely, in buildings, a wide variety of pipes are housed in the ceiling space, so it is necessary to install recessed pipes such as downlights. For shaped lighting fixtures, there are often restrictions on where they can be installed. A particularly limiting condition is the embedding depth, and the dimension to the top of the downlight socket A often becomes a problem. However, there is a limit to how small the dimensions of the appliance main body B can be, depending on the capacity of the light bulb used, etc. By the way, for connecting the power line of socket A for downlights, quick-connect terminal devices that hold and connect the wires with a locking spring and terminal board are now widely used, and for this reason, compared to the conventional screw connection structure, The dimensions of the connections are increasing.
Due to these circumstances, downlight socket A
Reducing the height dimension of is a very important issue.

FIGS. 2 and 3 show conventional downlight sockets. In the figure, 1 is a socket body, and a cylindrical part 1 is provided with a lamp holder 2 to which a light bulb is attached.
1, and a cover part 12 for housing a quick connection terminal device 3 for wiring connection. The quick connection terminal device 3 is a terminal board 3
1 and a locking spring 32, the terminal plate 31 is electrically connected to the lamp holder 2 through the partition between the cylindrical portion 11 and the cap portion 12. The recessed part 12 is arranged directly above the cylindrical part 11 as shown in the figure, and is connected to the wire insertion opening 1.
A pair of terminals 3 are formed on each of the two opposing sides, and a quick-connect terminal device 3 is disposed inside the terminals. 14
1 is a flange provided on the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 11. Using this flange 14, the downlight socket 1 is attached to, for example, a device body B as shown in FIG. by the way,
There is a problem in that the recess portion 12 formed on the partition wall provided at the upper part of the cylindrical portion 11 that houses the lamp holder 2 is dimensionally larger than that of a general screw connection device. This is because the quick connection terminal device 3 itself is larger than the screw, and an increase in size is unavoidable. For this reason, a problem arises in that although conventional downlights can be installed by screwing depending on the ceiling structure, those using the quick-connect terminal device 3 cannot be installed. Moreover, the number of quick connection terminal devices 3 will increase in the future from the perspective of saving labor in construction, and the height dimension of the ceiling structure will become smaller, especially in the ceiling, so the height dimension of this downlight socket has become an extremely important problem in practice.

On the other hand, since the recessed part 12 is placed directly above the cylindrical part 11, the heat of the light bulb attached to the lamp holder 2 inside the cylindrical part 11 will cause the quick connection terminal device 3 of the recessed part 12 to heat up. do. Particularly problematic is Kabe 12.
This is the heating of the power supply wire inserted into the wire insertion port 13. There are two types of power lines: the original power line that supplies power to the downlight in question, and the transmission line that branches off from there and supplies power to other adjacent downlights, but both are susceptible to heat. Since vinyl-coated wires are often used, sufficient consideration must be given to their temperature rise.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention has been devised to keep the height of a downlight socket with a quick-connection terminal device low, and to suppress heating of the quick-connection terminal device, the power line extending from it, and the feed wiring. This is what I did. This will be explained below using the drawings.

4, 5, and 6 show embodiments of the present invention, and the same parts as in FIGS. 2 and 3 are designated by the same reference numerals. That is, the socket main body 1 includes a cylindrical portion 11 in which a lamp holder 2 to which a light bulb cap is attached from below is disposed, and a quick connection terminal device 3 for wiring connection that is electrically connected to the lamp holder 2.
, and is provided with a cover portion 12 disposed on the outside of the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 11 so as to be connected thereto. The cylindrical portion 11 is open downward, and has a flange portion 15 on the outer periphery of the lower end that is slightly larger than the cylindrical portion 11 and has a stepped portion.
A locking portion 16 is provided on the side wall of the collar portion 15 for attachment to the main body of the instrument. Also,
A heat radiation hole 17 is formed in the flat part of the flange part 15. A plurality of heat radiation holes 17 are provided along the flange portion 15 . As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, they are concentrated on the side opposite to the hood 12, and distributed over the remaining portion of the hood 12 excluding the area located on the lower side thereof. The lamp holder 2 is composed of a cylindrical holder 21 and a central tongue piece 22 placed at the center of the upper part of the cylindrical holder 21.
Both of these are connected to an insulating wall 11 corresponding to the top plate of the cylindrical portion 11.
1 and is electrically and mechanically connected to a pair of conductive pieces 4, 4. The conductive pieces 4, 4 are introduced through the partition wall 18 along the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 11 into the recess portion 12 formed outside the outer periphery of the tube portion 11, and
A pair of terminal plates 31, 3 forming the quick connection terminal device 3
1, respectively. Each terminal plate 31 is provided with a pair of locking springs 32 facing each other, and each of the locking springs 32 is disposed facing the wire insertion opening 13 formed in the cover portion 12. Wire insertion port 1
3 has one set of two poles, and only two sets are available. One set of wire insertion ports 13 is for a power wire formed on a required side of the cover portion 12. The other set of wire insertion openings 13 are formed on the opposite side surface of the cover portion 12 and are for feeding wiring. The orientation of each wire insertion port 13 is determined by the selection of the side surface of the recess that forms it, and is determined to face the tangential direction of the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion 11 adjacent to the recess 12. As a result, the power supply line and its feed wiring form a substantially straight line and run around the outside of the outer periphery avoiding the cylindrical part 11. Although not shown, it goes without saying that a rising piece for separation may be provided on the insulating wall 111 in order to ensure mutual insulation between the conductive pieces 4,4. Further, reference numeral 19 denotes a lid body that covers the quick connection terminal device 3, the conductive piece 4, etc. after they are disposed in the socket body 1. The conductive piece 4 can be positioned by a groove or the like using the partition wall 18, cover 19, etc. of the socket body 1. According to such a configuration, since the height of the upper side of the lamp holder 2 is limited to the arrangement of the conductive piece 4, it can be set sufficiently low, and it is possible to obtain a socket for a downlight with a low height. can.

As described above in detail, the downlight socket according to the present invention has a recess portion for housing a quick connection terminal device on the outside of the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion of the socket body in which the lamp holder is installed. According to this configuration, the only part that exceeds the height of the cylindrical part in which the lamp holder is arranged is the electrical connection structure part using the conductive piece from the lamp holder to the quick connection terminal device, and the height dimension is extremely small. It has the effect of being small and small. Therefore, the height of the downlight socket can be kept sufficiently small. In addition to the above configuration, the heat dissipation holes in the flange at the bottom end of the cylinder are placed to one side to avoid the bottom side of the hood, thereby suppressing heating of the quick connection terminal device, power supply wire, and feed wiring. It is possible to do so.

Furthermore, the direction of each wire insertion port in the recess is determined so that the power line and feed wiring bypass the outside of the cylindrical part, avoiding the need to bend the wires. Wiring work for a large number of downlights can be carried out efficiently.
