イプ状に形成し、その突合せ端をレーザ加工等の
溶接手段にて接合したシーム溶接接合部8を有す
る円形パイプ素材である。そして、該第3図Aの
パイプ素材を熱間引抜き加工により第3図Bの如
く断面を所望の薄さに成形する。この状態におい
てシーム溶接接合部8は点線で示す如く外観上略
シームレスの状態のシーム溶接接合部7と成る。
しかる後、第3図Cに示す如くシーム溶接接合部
7がシールドケースの矩形断面における長軸方向
に沿う平坦面5,6内に位置(この位置は該平坦
面5,6の角部分を除いた平坦部分であり、該角
部分にシーム溶接接合部7が夫々位置すると磁気
特性が若干低下すると共に特性のバラツキが大き
くなるので、シーム溶接接合部7は平坦面5,6
内に位置させたほうが好ましい)するように該シ
ールドケースを矩形断面に成形し、その後従来と
同様に磁気焼鈍を施した上で所定寸法で切断すれ
ば本発明になる磁気シールドケースが得られる。
