Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は表面に傷つき防止コーテイングを施し
たプラスチツク製品に特定の組成物からなる密着
性に優れた塗料被膜を形成させる方法に関するも
のであり、該組成物中に一般式YSiX3(式中、X
は塩素、アルコキシ基、アセトキシ基などの加水
分解性の基、Yはビニル基、メタクリロキシアル
キル基、グリシドキシアルキル基、エポキシシク
ロヘキシルアルキル基、メルカプトアルキル基、
アミノアルキル基、アミノアルキルアミノアルキ
ル基、ウレイドアルキル基などの有機官能基を表
わす)で表わされるシラン化合物を含むことを特
徴とする密着性に優れた被膜形成方法に関するも
のである。 プラスチツクは金属、ガラス等に代つて各種の
用途に使用されてきているが、表面の傷つき防止
に対する要求が高まり、各種の傷つき防止コーテ
イングが開始され、使用されるようになつてきて
いる。この傷つき防止コーテイングとしては各種
のものがあるが、代表的なものとしてメラミン系
樹脂を主成分とするもの、ポリシロキサンを主成
分とするもの、架橋型アクリル系樹脂を主成分と
するものおよびこれらの混合物よりなるものなど
がある。これらの傷つき防止コーテイングを施す
ことにより砂塵あるいは引つかきによる傷がつき
にくくなることは当然であるが、一方ではこれら
コーテイングを施した面への塗料の密着性が低下
するという問題が生じてくる。 本発明の目的は傷つき防止コーテイングを施し
たプラスチツク製品への密着性の良好な被膜形成
用組成物を与えることにある。本発明者はこの目
的を達成するため鋭意研究を重ねた結果、被膜を
形成させる組成物中に前記のシラン化合物を含ま
せることにより密着性が飛躍的に改良されること
を見い出し、本発明に至つたのである。 本発明にいうプラスチツク製品とは一般の熱可
塑性プラスチツク、熱硬化性プラスチツクを指す
が、傷つき防止コーテイングを施したプラスチツ
ク製品の基材としてポリカーボネート系樹脂、ポ
リメチルメタクリレートなどのメタクリル系樹脂
が主として使用されていることから、これらのプ
ラスチツク製品に傷つき防止コーテイングが施さ
れたものに対して特に有用である。また、本発明
にいう傷つき防止コーテイングとしてはメラミン
系樹脂を主成分とするもの、例えばエーテル化メ
チロールメラミンを主成分とし、必要に応じて硝
化綿、ポリエーテル類、ポリオール類などを加え
触媒存在下で加熱硬化させるもの、ポリシロキサ
ンを主成分とするもの、例えばテトラアルコキシ
シランおよび/またはアルキルトリアルコキシシ
ランを主成分とし触媒存在下で加熱硬化させるも
の、架橋型アクリル系樹脂を主成分とするもの、
例えばアクリル系の多官能単量体を主成分とし、
必要に応じて他の共重合可能な単量体を加え触媒
あるいは増感剤の存在下で熱あるいは活性エネル
ギー線の照射により重合し架橋するもの、および
これらの2種以上の混合物よりなるものをいう。
特にポリシロキサンを主成分とするものに対して
は表面への塗料の密着性が飛躍的に改良される。 本発明にいう被膜を形成させる組成物として
は、一般的な塗料の組成物、すなわちフタル酸樹
脂塗料、ビニル樹脂塗料、エポキシ樹脂塗料、ア
ルキツド樹脂塗料、ポリウレタン樹脂塗料、ニト
ロセルロースラツカー、アクリルラツカー、熱硬
化性アクリルラツカー樹脂塗料などが使用しうる
が、特にアクリルラツカーが好適であつた。 本発明にいうシラン化合物としては一般式
YSiX3(式中、Xは塩素、アルコキシ基、アセト
キシ基などの加水分解性の基、Yはビニル基、メ
タクリロキシアルキル基、グリシドキシアルキル
基、エポキシシクロヘキシルアルキル基、メルカ
プトアルキル基、アミノアルキル基、アミノアル
キルアミノアルキル基、ウレイドアルキル基など
の有機官能基を表わす。)で表わすシラン化合物
を言い、具体的には例えばビニルトリクロロシラ
ン、ビニルトリエトキシシラン、ビニルトリアセ
トキシシラン、γ−メタクリロキシプロピルトリ
メトキシシラン、β−(3・4−エポキシシクロ
ロヘキシル)エチル−トリメトキシシラン、γ−
グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、γ−
メルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシラン、γ−ア
ミノプロピルトリエトキシシラン、N−β−(ア
ミノエチル)−γ−アミノプロピルトリメトキシ
シランなどがある。これらの化合物のうち、被膜
を形成させる組成物としていかなる組成物を用い
るかにより適したシラン化合物の種類は異なるの
で一概にはいえないが、γ−アミノプロピルトリ
エトキシシランが特に好ましい結果を与えるよう
である。上記のような各種シラン化合物の被膜を
形成させる組成物に対する添加量は被膜を形成さ
せる組成物中のバインダー成分100重量部に対し
て300ないし0.1重量部、より好ましくは200ない
し1重量部添加することが望ましい。添加量が
0.1重量部よりも少なすぎると密着性の改良効果
や乏しく、逆に添加量が300部を越えると被膜の
他の物性、例えば外観、耐クラツク性等に悪影響
を与えるので好ましくない。 本発明を更にわかりやすくするため以下の実施
例により詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実
施例により限定されるものではない。 実施例 (1) プラスチツク製品の成形 メタクリル樹脂成形材料(登録商標名“スミ
ペツクス−B”住友化学工業株式会社製)を射
出成形機を用いてたて10cm、横5cm、厚さ2
m/mの板状に成形しプラスチツク製品とし
た。 (2) 傷つき防止コーテイングの実施 (1)のプラスチツク製品をポリシロキサンを主
成分とする塗料(登録商標名“スミユニ”住友
化学工業株式会社製品)に浸漬し、浸漬法(引
き上げ速度18cm/分)で塗布し、熱風循環式乾
燥炉を用いて80℃、2時間加熱し硬化させ表面
に傷つき防止コーテイングを施したプラスチツ
ク製品とした。 (3) 被膜形成用組成物の調製 表1に示した各種の塗料にシラン化合物を塗
料中のバインダー成分100重量部に対し表1に
示した量含ませ被膜形成用組成物を作つた。 (4) 傷つき防止コーテイングを施したプラスチツ
ク製品への被膜形成および密着性の測定 (3)で調製した被膜形成用組成物を(2)の基材に
ハケ塗りし10分間セツテイングののち60℃の熱
風循環式加熱炉中で2時間乾燥硬化させ、室温
まで冷却後表面にナイフにて1mm間かくのます
