本発明は主として自動2輪車におけるリヤクシ
ヨンとして使用される油圧緩衝器に関する。従来
この種緩衝器として、外筒内の内部を作動油室と
するシリンダ内にアツパメタルからのびるピスト
ンロツドの下端のピストンを嵌合させると共に該
外筒の外周に該アツパメタルとの間にばねを作用
させるようにした式のものは知られるが、この場
合該緩衝器は乗車人員等の荷重の変化に伴う車体
高さの変化に際し、これを補正すべく作用するも
のであることが好ましい。本発明はかゝる要求に
適合する装置を得ることをその目的としたもので
外筒内の内部を作動油室とするシリンダ内にアツ
パメタルからのびるピストンロツドの下端のピス
トンを嵌合させると共に該外筒の外周に該アツパ
メタルとの間にばねを作用させる式のものにおい
て、該アツパメタルに該ばねの上側のばね受けと
の間に上下方向に容積可変の圧力室を形成させる
と共に該ピストンロツドに該圧力室内に連る内部
の軸線方向の中空孔を備えて該ロツドを中空ロツ
ドに形成させ、更に該シリンダ内の底部に内部の
軸線方向の油室と、該油室を側方に開口する油孔
とを有する調整ロツドを固設すると共に該ロツド
を前記した中空ロツドと互に嵌合させて両ロツド
によりプランジヤポンプを構成させるようにして

向きの段部を有する該ばね受11を嵌合して両段
部間に該圧力室12を形成させ、これを該メタル
6内をのびる連通路12aを介して前記した中空
孔13の上端に連通させるようにした。更に該シ
リンダ3内の底部に、内部の軸線方向の油室14
と該室14内を側方に開口する油孔15とを有す
る調整ロツド16を固設すると共に、該ロツド1
6を前記した中空ロツド7の中空孔13内に嵌合
させ、かくて両ロツド16,7によりプランジヤ

る。この状態から、該ロツド7が上下動する場合
を考えるに、両ロツド16,7から成るプランジ
ヤポンプは油孔15を介して油の流入と流出とを
繰返すに留まり、かくて圧力室12内の容積は常
に略一定に保たれる。次で前記した荷重が増大し
て車体高さが減少した場合を考えるに、ピストン
ロツド7は油孔15をこえて下動してその下方位
置を中心として上下動する。かくてプランジヤポ
ンプはピストンロツド7のストロークの上限位置
近傍で油孔15が開放することが繰返され、これ
を換言すれば該油孔15を介して油が流入するこ
とが繰返され、この油は中空孔13内から連通路
12aを介して圧力室12内に漸次導かれて該圧
力室12内はその容積が漸次増大し、かくてアツ
パメタル6は上動して車体高さは漸次増大側に補
正される。次で車体高さが大きく増大した場合を
考えるに、ピストンロツド7は油孔15の上方位
置となつて該位置を中心として上下動し、かくて
プランジヤポンプは油孔15を介して油を流出す
ることを繰返し、圧力室12内は漸次その容積を
減少されてアツパメタル6は下動し、車体高さは
