トを貫通した釘孔が拡がり易く雨水が浸入して屋
根板が腐蝕し易い等の欠点がある。殊に近年は、
セメント瓦、石綿セメント板(カラーベスト、コ
ロニアル)、アスフアルトシングル、金属瓦等
種々屋根葺材が開発され、傾斜のゆるい屋根構造
が多く用いられ、従つて屋根下地シートの防水
性、耐久性に依存する度合いが高く、前記欠点の
改良が業界の要望となつている。
