このような状況からも高耐圧性の制動片4が必要
となる。制動片4の耐圧性はレール1押圧時の制
動面の溶融限界で決定され、溶融が発生すると、
摩擦力が不安定になるとともに制動面の損耗が激
しくなる。したがつて所要の制動能力を得るため
には制動片4とレール1面間に著しい溶融が生じ
ない範囲で使用することになる。一方、制動片4
のレール1押圧時に、レール1は制動面が昇降体
2の下降によつて移行して摩擦熱の蓄積が少なく
溶融が生じにくい。このため制動片4の耐熱性を
増すことによつて制動面の溶融を防ぎ高い面圧で
の制動作用を得ることができる。したがつて、高
面圧での制動作用を実現するために制動片4の制
動面をセラミツク材で構成することが考えられる
が、セラミツク材は靭性に欠け欠損を生じる不具

が混入されたセラミツク材からなり、一側には係
合部5aに嵌合した凹部からなる係合部6bが設
けられ、他側には格子状に溝6cが設けられた摺
動片、7は基板5に立植されて貫通孔4bに挿通
されたねじ棒で、8はこれにねじ込まれて凹部4

合部6b、係合部5aの嵌合によつてロー付面積
が増え接着保持力が向上し、また摺動片6に亀裂
が生じても局部にとどまり摺動片6が基板5から
脱落することがなく小形な装置によつて所要の制
動作用を容易に得ることができる。また薄肉に形
成された摺動片6が金属製の基板5に保持されて
いるため制動時の発熱が基板5から制動片4へ伝
導されて摺動片6の摺動面の温度上昇が抑制され
るので、安定した制動作用を得ることができる。
また摺動片6の摺動面が摩耗しても基板5の係合
部5a相互間に残存した摺動片6によつて制動作
用が得られるので、直ちに制動能力を喪失するこ
とがない。なお、この実施例において摺動片6に
芯材6aが混入してあるためセラミツク材の靭性
が増し欠損を生じにくく安定した信頼度の高い制

防ぎ、小形であつて高能力の制動能力を持ち、安
定した信頼度の高い制動作用を得ることができる
エレベータの非常止め装置を実現するものであ
