Draft tube liners are designed to gradually expand their cross-sectional area and smoothly change the flow velocity, as their shape greatly affects the efficiency of water turbines and pump-turbines. A conventional elbow-shaped liner is manufactured by connecting and welding a large number of rectangular cross-section tubes having rounded corners at each corner, as shown in FIG. The entire circumference between each cylinder is welded along welding lines W shown by reference numerals 1 to 14 in FIGS. 1 and 2. Note that FIG. 2 is a top view projected along the axis of the tubular liner 20. In Figure 3, number 3,
Only the welding lines indicated by 5 and 14 are taken out to represent the relationship between the cross-sectional shapes.

In this conventional manufacturing method, in order to smoothly change the flow velocity, it is necessary to divide the cylinder into as many rectangular cylinders as possible and weld and form each cylinder around the entire circumference, which inevitably results in a weld line. This has the drawback of increasing the number of welding steps and the manufacturing cost for non-destructive inspection of the welded part.

According to the present invention, the above object is achieved by extending the draft tube liner along a first side portion including two adjacent R portions, a second side portion including the other two R portions, and an inner side of a bent portion. The first side part and the second side part each have a divided piece bent in a U-shape with a predetermined width. A plurality of welds are performed to form a joint, and the inner surface portion and the outer surface portion are connected to the first side portion and the second side portion.
This is accomplished by bending the lateral edges of the lateral sections and welding them along the lateral edges to the first and second lateral sections, thereby forming the whole in one piece. That is, most of the welding lines conventionally provided on the inner and outer surfaces are omitted and replaced with bent lines, thereby reducing the number of welding steps.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, in the present invention, the tube liner 20 has a first side portion 21 including two adjacent R portions, a second side portion 22 including the other two R portions, It is molded separately into four sections: an inner surface portion 23 extending along the inside of the bent portion, and an outer surface portion 24 extending along the outside of the bent portion. 1st
The side portion 21 is a divided piece 3 bent in a U-shape with a predetermined width.
1, 32, 33, etc. are welded to form a joint. Similarly, the second side portion 22 is also welded to form a joint by welding divided pieces 41, 42, 43, etc. bent in a U-shape with a predetermined width.

The inner surface part 23 and the outer surface part 24 are bent into a shape that matches the bending lines of the side edges of the first side part 21 and the second side part 22, and Weld to part 22. In this way, the tube liner is integrally formed. Figure 6 shows numbers 3, 5,
Only the part of the weld line indicated by 14 is taken out to show the interrelationship of the cross sections.

According to the method of the present invention, a new welding line A (solid line in FIG. 5) is provided along the side edges of each of the side parts 21 and 22, but the welding line A (solid line in FIG. The welding line B (dashed line in FIG. 5) becomes unnecessary, and the number of welding lines can be significantly reduced when viewed as a whole. Therefore, the manufacturing cost is lowered by reducing the number of welding steps, and the reliability of the welded part is improved.
