な方法は従来実施されていない。これは、特に仕
上圧延機等においてはストリツプが薄いために座
屈を起こし易く、そのために充分な幅圧下を行う
ことが全くできないということに起因していた。

本発明は、こうした点に鑑みてなしたもので、
圧延機スタンド間に、竪型圧延機を設けると共
に、ルーパを配設し、且つ該ルーパの高さ位置に
応じて竪ロールの高さ位置を調節するロール高さ
調節装置を設けることにより、幅圧下圧延による
ストリツプの座屈を防止し、幅圧下量の増大を図
るようにしたスタンド間エツジヤー、に係るもの
である。

を行う竪型圧延機5を設けると共に、該竪型圧延
機5のストリツプライン上流側においてルーパロ
ール6を介しストリツプ4に張力付加を行わしめ
るようにしたルーパ7を設ける。

且つ前記チヨツク支持装置10を介して前記竪ロ
ール12のストリツプ幅方向位置の微調整を行う

リンダ17の作動を、第1図に示したルーパ7の
回動基部に設けた角度検出計18からの角度信号
19により制御装置20を介して自動的に行える
ようにしている。

き、よつて幅圧下調整量の拡大、エツジドロツプ
の改善、板端の矩形化、板クラウンの改善が可能
となる。またルーパ7によるストリツプ4の高さ
変動に応じてロール高さ調節シリンダ17により
竪ロール12の高さ位置を調整するようにしてい
るので、ストリツプ4の高さ変動により竪ロール
12に対してストリツプ4がスリツプすることに
よる張力変動の発生を防止して、張力の安定付
加、それによる幅圧下の安定を可能にする。一
方、竪ロール12はストリツプ4の高さ変動に対
応して高さ調整が行われるので、竪ロール12の
長さ寸法は短かなものでもよい。然し本実施例で
はストリツプ4の高さの急激な変動に対して竪ロ
ール12の高さ調整の応答遅れにより竪ロール1
2からストリツプ4が外れることを防止するた
め、竪ロール12の長さ寸法はストリツプ4の変
動高さ以上の余裕をもつたものにしている。

ること、その他本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲内
において種々変更を加え得こと、等は勿論であ
る。
