ソードに接続したコンデンサ24と、このコンデ
ンサ24と並列接続した感温素子7と、この感温
素子7および可変抵抗器15の共通点と制御回路
部9のゲートとの間に接続されたダイアツク25
とにより構成されるゲート制御回路を有してい
る。したがつて、アイロン掛けに際しては、まず
アイロン本体6の前面部に貯水タンク11を装着
すると、把持体5の前面開口部に可変抵抗器15
の端子片17が挿入されて端子部10と電気的に
接続され温度制御用電気回路が完成する。そして
貯水タンク11の上部に突出した可変抵抗器15
の操作部16を操作してその抵抗値を変化させ、
アイロン掛けする布地に適当する温度となるよう
に制御回路部9を調節すればよい。すなわち、温
度調節のための可変抵抗器15が貯水タンク11
の上部にスチーム制御機構19と並列にその操作
部16が突設されているため、スチーム制御なら
びに温度制御が連係よく行なわれて操作性を良好
