(Prior Art) Conventionally, as shown schematically in FIG. 5, the sound deadening material used in these silencers is formed by molding a sound deadening body 12 made of a cylindrical sound deadening material, and then forming holes in the sound deadening body 12. The air is passed through the ventilation passage 15, thereby muffling the noise.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In the above-mentioned muffling device, since there is only one ventilation passage 15, the degree of air contact with the inner surface of the muffling body 12 is small, and a sufficient muffling effect cannot be achieved. Another drawback is that the muffler 12 and, by extension, the muffler body become longer.

(Function) The present invention interposes a large number of sound deadening materials made of porous sound absorbing materials in parallel between flat plates to form a large number of parallel ventilation passages, and distributes air within the large number of ventilation passages. The porous sound absorbing material is made to flow to increase the degree of contact between the air and the sound-absorbing material, and the air flowing in the ventilation path is brought into contact with the gaps between the porous sound-absorbing materials to exert a sound-deadening effect.

The surface of a flat plate 1 made of aluminum foil, hard cardboard, hard plastic board, etc. (hereinafter referred to as aluminum foil, etc.) is covered with a porous sound-absorbing material such as foamed rubber (for example, product name Moltoprene) so that the cross section is almost chevron-shaped. A composite sound damping member B is formed by attaching a large number of formed elongated sound deadening materials 3 in parallel with appropriate gaps between them. Then, the composite sound deadening member B cut into a horizontally long shape is wound in a spiral shape, or a plurality of composite sound deadening members B cut into the same shape are stacked, so that the top part 3a of each sound deadening material 3 is connected to the flat plate 1.
A sound deadening material 3 is attached to the back surface of the flat plate 1 to form a sound deadening body interposed between the flat plates 1 in a parallel state.

When the composite sound deadening member B is wound or stacked in a spiral shape and the top portion 3a of each sound deadening material 3 is attached to the back surface of the flat plate 1, each sound deadening material 3 is partitioned by the flat plate 1 and is separated and independent. The ventilation passages 5 to 5 are formed penetratingly along the longitudinal direction of the sound deadening material 3 and are arranged in parallel in an isolated state. Then, the muffler constructed as described above is inserted into the ventilation tube of the muffler provided in the blower 7, as shown in FIG.

Now, in this example, a large number of elongated sound deadening materials 3 each made of a porous sound absorbing material and each having a substantially chevron-shaped cross section are placed parallel to the surface of a flat plate 1 such as aluminum foil with appropriate gaps between them. A composite sound deadening member B is formed by attaching the composite sound deadening member B, and the composite sound deadening member B is wound in a spiral shape or stacked to attach each top portion 3a of each sound deadening material 3 to the back surface of the flat plate 1, and each sound deadening material 3 is attached to the back surface of the flat plate 1. Separate and independent ventilation passages 5 are formed in between, each partitioned by a flat plate 1, extending along the longitudinal direction of the sound deadening material 3, so that the air discharged toward the muffler is dispersed. The noise damping material 3 can be made to flow through the ventilation passage 5 while being in contact with each of the sound deadening materials 3.

Therefore, the contact area between the discharged air and the sound deadening material 3 is expanded, and the effective sound deadening area of the sound deadening body can be significantly increased, and the degree of contact between the air and the surface of the sound deadening material is increased, resulting in a remarkable sound deadening effect. Therefore, the length of each ventilation passage 5 and the muffler can be shortened, and the muffler can be made compact.

In addition, the flowing air comes into contact with the gap formed in the sound deadening material 3 made of porous sound absorbing material and diffuses, and the viscosity of the air in this gap can enhance the sound deadening effect, and the heat between the air and the surroundings of the gap can be increased. Through conduction, sound energy can be converted into heat energy, effectively muffling it.

Furthermore, the resonance phenomenon can be suppressed by each sound deadening material 3 interposed between the flat plates 1.

(Effects of the Invention) In other words, the present invention provides a method in which a large number of elongated sound-absorbing materials, each of which is made of a porous sound-absorbing material and has a substantially chevron-shaped cross section, are placed on the surface of a flat plate such as aluminum foil with appropriate gaps between them. A composite sound deadening member is formed by attaching the composite sound deadening members in parallel, and the composite sound deadening members are wound in a spiral shape or piled up so that the tops of the respective sound deadening materials are respectively attached to the back surface of the flat plate. Separate and independent ventilation passages partitioned by the flat plates are formed in between in a penetrating manner along the longitudinal direction of the sound deadening material, so that air can flow in a dispersed state and come into contact with each other during the flow. The contact area can be increased to effectively muffle sound, and the flowing air can be brought into contact with the gaps in the porous sound-absorbing material to enhance the sound muffling effect.
