軒樋B′のコーナ部において外側が伸び、内側が縮
むことによりコーナ部が長手方向で縮むが軒樋
B′の底壁の中央部および側壁の中央部は縮まない
ためである。この現象は経験上軒樋B′の巾wと金
属板1の厚みtとがw/t≧750となる場合に顕
著に表われていた。

提供することにある。

樹脂を被覆することにより波付き金属板2を合成
樹脂3製の長尺の板状体4に被覆する合成樹脂3
の樹脂圧によつて残留応力を保持させた状態で埋
設させて成り、波付き金属板2の残留応力により
ロールフオーミングして軒樋Bを形成させた場合
にもべこが発生することもなく上記本発明の目的
を達成できたものである。

場合樹脂圧により波付き金属板2の波部5の高さ
hは通常の状態の0.5mmからh′=0.3〜0.4mmと低く
なり、波付き金属板2を埋設した後に0.5mmの高
さへと復元しようとする残留応力を保持すること
になる。また被覆する合成樹脂3が波部5の山5
aと谷5bの両方向からの圧力を緩和して波付き
金属板2が板状体3の断面の中心に位置するよう
に埋設できて波付き金属板2の上下の肉厚のばら
つきが少なくなると共に強度がより大きくなる。
このようにして形成した軒樋用板状体Aをロール
フオーミングして軒樋Bを形成する。この場合波
付き金属板2が波部5により実際の厚み以上の強
度を発揮すると共に保持している残留応力により
軒樋用板状体Aの曲げ強度(もしくは座屈応力)
が大きくなり、形成した軒樋Bにはいわゆるべこ
が全く発生しないものである。このことはこの実
施例にあつては金属板1の厚みtが0.14mmである
にも拘わらず、波付けすることにより実質的には
0.33mmのものと同じ強度となり、従つてw/t=
111/0.33=336となることからも理解できる。な

厚くし斜面が薄くなるように形成しておけばさら
に実質的な強度は大きくなる。第5図は本発明の
他の実施例であり、波付き金属板2の波部5に沿

靭な軒樋用板状体を提供できるものであり、しか
も波付き金属板を被覆する合成樹脂の樹脂圧によ
り残留応力を保持させた状態で埋設させているの
で、曲げ強度がより大きくなりロールフオーミン
グにより軒樋を形成させてもいわゆるべこが発生
することがないものである。
