Impregnated to seal the pores. However, it is difficult to sufficiently fill the minute pores with the impregnating liquid by simply immersing the porous object in the impregnating liquid, so in the past, the porous object was immersed in the impregnating liquid in an impregnating tank and then vacuumed. A method of reducing the pressure inside the impregnating tank using a pump, or by charging a porous object into an empty impregnating tank, reducing the pressure inside the impregnating tank, and then opening the valve to suck the impregnating liquid from the impregnating liquid tank connected to the impregnating tank into the impregnating tank. A method was adopted in which porous objects were impregnated with water. (For example, Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 143452/1983) (Problem to be solved by the invention) However, the former method uses 60 to
The disadvantage is that the impregnating liquid can only be filled to about 70%, making it impossible to completely eliminate the permeability of the porous object. Also, the latter method has the disadvantage that the impregnating liquid is poured into the impregnating tank under reduced pressure. When it is sucked, it foams significantly, making it impossible to control the liquid level, and there is a risk that the entire porous object will not be impregnated.
There was a problem in that the bubbling impregnating liquid adhered to and hardened on the viewing window at the top of the impregnating tank and the mating surface between the impregnating tank and the lid for taking porous objects in and out, making operation difficult. Therefore, there has been a need for a method for impregnating a porous object with an impregnating liquid, which can completely impregnate the pores of a porous object with the impregnating liquid and which does not cause foaming of the impregnating liquid.

The object is lowered into an impregnating tank whose lower half is filled with impregnating liquid in advance, the lid is brought into close contact with the upper opening of the impregnating tank, the container is supported in the upper space of the impregnating tank, and a vacuum pump is used to remove the upper part. The method is characterized in that after the space is depressurized, the porous object stored in the container with the lid closed is gently lowered into the impregnating tank and immersed in the impregnating liquid.

Reference numeral 1 is an impregnating tank, and 2 is a cage-shaped container in which a porous object such as a metal casting or a sintered metal is housed. The lower half of the impregnating tank 1 is filled in advance with a known impregnating liquid 3 whose main component is a synthetic resin monomer such as an acrylic ester monomer. The porous object is hoisted together with the container 2 from a trolley 5 running on a ceiling rail 4 by a gripper 7 which is suspended in a vertically movable manner using a lifting cylinder 6, as shown in the figure.
After being moved directly above the impregnating tank 1, it is lowered toward the impregnating tank 1. A lid 8 of the impregnating tank 1 is provided on the upper part of the gripping tool 7 as shown in the figure, and when the gripping tool 7 is lowered, the lid 8 is attached to the impregnating tank 1.
The upper opening of the impregnation tank is sealed, and the porous object gripped by the gripper 7 is supported in the upper space 9 inside the impregnating tank as shown by the phantom line. Next, exhaust is performed from the exhaust hole 10 using a vacuum pump (not shown), and the upper space 9 of the impregnating tank 1 is highly depressurized to exhaust the air in the pores of the porous object. After that, while keeping the lid 8 on the top surface of the impregnating tank 1, the container lifting cylinder 11 above the lid 8 is operated to remove the container 2.
The porous object housed in the porous object is gently lowered into the impregnating tank 1 and immersed in the impregnating liquid 3. At this time, the impregnating liquid 3 hardly bubbles, and the pores of the porous object from which air was discharged in the previous step are completely filled with the impregnating liquid. In this way 2-15
When the impregnating process, which lasts for about a minute, is completed, the gripping tool 7 releases the container 2 containing the porous object while keeping it immersed in the impregnating liquid 3, operates the lifting cylinder 6 and the container lifting cylinder 11, and moves the container 2 with the lid 8. It rises above the impregnation tank 1 and returns to the position shown to grip the next container 2. On the other hand, the container 2 left in the impregnating liquid 3 is lifted out of the impregnating liquid 3 by a gripper 13 attached to another cart 12 on the ceiling rail 4, and the impregnating liquid adhering to the outer surface is removed from the impregnating liquid 3 in the upper space 9 of the impregnating tank 1. Cleaning tank 1 after dropping the liquid
Transferred to 4,15. The washing tank 14 contains washing water containing a surfactant, and the washing tank 1
5 is provided with a shower nozzle 16, so that the impregnating liquid adhering to the outer surface of the porous object is washed off in these washing tanks 14 and 15. Thereafter, the container 2 containing the porous object is immersed in hot water at 80 to 90°C in a hot water tank 17, and the impregnating liquid, which is mainly composed of synthetic resin monomers, starts a polymerization reaction and becomes a polymer. The pores in the porous object will be completely sealed.

ころは極めて大きいものがある。(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, the present invention supports a porous object housed in a basket-shaped container on the underside of the lid in the upper space of the impregnation tank, and uses the lid to open the upper part of the impregnation tank. The upper space is sealed, the upper space is depressurized, the air in the pores is discharged, and only the porous object housed in the basket-shaped container is gently lowered to pre-fill the lower half of the impregnation tank. Since it is immersed in the liquid, the impregnating liquid can completely fill the pores of the porous object, and there is no need to move the impregnating liquid to an impregnating tank as in the conventional case, so there is almost no foaming. Therefore, the liquid level of the impregnating liquid can be detected accurately, and the impregnating liquid does not adhere to the viewing window at the top of the impregnating tank or the mating surface between the top surface of the impregnating tank and the lid, etc., making operation easy. There are advantages that can be achieved. Therefore, the present invention makes an extremely large contribution to the industry as a solution to the conventional problems.
