As shown in Figure 1, normal shoulder pads have a semicircular shape (Figure 1-A, C) with an arcuate cross section (Figure 1-B).
By inserting this into the shoulder area of clothing and sewing it, it accentuates the style and design of the clothing and prevents it from losing its shape. Conventional methods for making shoulder pads for clothes include stacking and sewing several nonwoven fabrics of different sizes with a thickness of about 2 to 4 mm, and cutting sponge into crescent shapes. The former method requires many steps such as punching, overlaying, and sewing processes, resulting in poor workability, while the latter method requires cutting shoulder parts one by one, which is inefficient. The shape of the resulting shoulder pads is also uniform, and there is a disadvantage that there is a lot of loss of sponge.

The object of the present invention is to insert an elastic raw material selected from fiber entangled material, felt, and sponge between a pair of templates in which a plurality of male and female molds corresponding to circular disks having an arcuate cross section are arranged in parallel. , the compressed thickness of the original fabric is
When cutting the original fabric in the horizontal direction with a slicer while holding the template under pressure so that the thickness is 50 to 80%, first cut the lower male mold and the upper female mold by inserting the male mold into the convex part of the male mold. The original fabric is placed under pressure so that the recesses of the female mold and the female mold are perfectly aligned vertically, and slices are cut in the horizontal direction at positions close to the female mold. After taking out the continuous cut raw fabric and the residual raw fabric on the male die side, the male die and female die are shifted from each other by the radius of the disk, and the above-mentioned die is placed in the position where the convex part of the male die was originally. The above-mentioned residual original fabric is inserted upside down between templates with an auxiliary male die having the same shape as the disk, held under pressure, and sliced horizontally at a position close to the female die. The two-stage slicing method is used to obtain two cut original fabrics in which circular disks each having an arcuate cross-section are continuous, and then the disks having an arcuate cross-section are separated from the cut original fabric, and this disk is divided into two parts in the diametrical direction. This can be effectively achieved by a method of manufacturing shoulder pads.

The raw material (original fabric) for the shoulder pads of the present invention is selected from bulky and elastic materials such as fiber entanglement, felt, and sponge. Synthetic fiber monofilament is crimped, cut into pieces of approximately 50 to 150 mm, and the mixture is treated with an adhesive to bond and fix the bonding points of the monofilaments.
Other materials that can be used include felt and urethane sponge, which are commonly used as raw materials for shoulder pads. These original fabrics generally have a thickness of about 30 to 60 mm and are sized to correspond to the templates described below.

When manufacturing the shoulder pads of the present invention, the original fabric is first subjected to two-stage slicing and cut into a plurality of arcuate cross-section discs. It consists of a pair of male and female types arranged in parallel. Cross-sectional views of the male and female molds are shown in Figures 2 and 3, and when viewed from above, at least 4 rows and 4 rows of cut arcuate discs are arranged in parallel in the vertical and horizontal directions. It turns out. The materials for the male and female molds are not particularly limited, but materials made of hard rubber plates are suitable from the viewpoint of their shapeability and the fact that they do not damage the slicing blades.
The dimensions of the arcuate cross-sectional disk formed on the template are appropriately selected depending on the desired shape of the shoulder patch, but are usually in the range of 150 to 200 mm in diameter and 15 to 25 mm in maximum height. Note that the template may be provided with a stopper for pressurizing and gripping the template or a connecting point thereof.

When slicing in the first stage, as shown in Figure 2, first place the male die 1 at the bottom and the female die 2 at the top, so that the convex part of the male die and the concave part of the female die are perfectly aligned vertically. and insert the original fabric 3 between them. In this state, clamp the template and use appropriate means such as pressing to reduce the thickness of the original fabric to 50 to 80% of the original thickness.
Apply pressure so that it becomes , and hold it in that state. At this time, if the compressed thickness is 80% or more, the shaping of the original fabric is insufficient, and if it is less than 50%, horizontal slicing becomes difficult, which is not preferable. Next, while holding the template under pressure, the original fabric is cut by passing it through a slicing blade in a horizontal direction from the center line of the female die (as indicated by the chain line in Figure 2). By this first stage of slicing, the original fabric is cut into a cut original fabric A with a continuous arcuate cross-sectional disk on the female side and a residual original fabric B on the male side.

In the second stage of slicing, as shown in FIG. An auxiliary male die 4 having the same shape as the disk is installed so that a male die similar to the first slice is present at the position where the convex portion was present. Next, the residue material B obtained in the first slicing is turned over between the templates arranged as above, and inserted so that its convex part matches the concave part of the female die 2, and the same compression as in the first slicing is performed. The template is held under pressure so that it has the same thickness, and the female mold is cut horizontally (as shown by the chain line in Figure 3) through a slicing blade. The auxiliary male mold 4 used here functions to compensate for the missing portion in the first slice of the residual original fabric 4 and to pressurize and grip the residual original fabric uniformly and stably. By this second stage slicing, the residual raw fabric B is divided into two parts: the cut raw fabric C, which has a continuous arcuate circular cross section, and the extremely thin residual fabric D.

According to the method of the present invention, for example, by arranging male and female disks in 6 columns and 6 rows, 36 disks×
2, a total of 72 discs, and 142 semicircular shoulder pads can be completed at once from these discs, greatly improving work efficiency compared to conventional methods. Furthermore, it is economical because the amount of residual raw fabric is extremely small, and it also has the advantage that by changing the template, it can easily accommodate changes in the shape of the shoulder pads due to diversification of designs.

Next, place the male mold on the lower stage and the female mold on the upper stage, facing each other as shown in Figure 2, insert the original fabric between them, and clamp the molds under pressure such that the thickness of the original fabric becomes 20 mm. The sample was cut using a slicer (band machine manufactured by Kitamura Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd.) while holding the space between the templates with a stopper. First, after passing the slicing blade horizontally 18 mm below the deepest part of the female mold, the mold plate was opened and there were 4 rows and 5 rows (20 ) The continuous sheets and the remaining sheets were taken out.

1. A resilient raw material selected from fiber entangled material, felt, and sponge is inserted between a pair of template plates in which a plurality of male and female molds corresponding to a disk having an arcuate cross section are arranged in parallel, and the raw fabric is compressed. When cutting the original fabric horizontally with a slicer while holding the template under pressure so that the thickness is 50 to 80%, first cut the lower male die and the upper female die. With the convex part and the concave part of the female mold perfectly aligned vertically, the original fabric is held under pressure, and slices are cut in the horizontal direction at positions close to the female mold, so that the cross section of the female mold side is an arcuate circle. After taking out the cut original fabric with continuous plates and the residual original fabric on the male die side, shift the male die and female die by the radius of the disk, and place the convex part on the male die at the original position. Then, insert the residual original fabric upside down between the templates with an auxiliary male die having the same shape as the disk, hold it under pressure, and cut horizontally into slices at a position close to the female die. Two-stage slicing is performed to obtain two cut original fabrics in which circular disks with an arcuate cross section are continuous. Then, the disks with an arcuate cross section are cut from the cut original fabric, and the disks are cut in two in the diametrical direction.
