Description
[産業上の利用分野]
本発明は加硫ゴム防水シートの接続方法に関す
るものである。更に詳述すれば本発明は加硫ゴム
防水シート同志をラツプさせて接続する接続方法
に関するものである。
[従来の技術]
従来、加硫ゴム防水シートの端末同志をラツプ
させて接続する接続方法としては、接着剤塗布方
法と未加硫ゴムシート接続方法とがある。
接着剤塗布方法は接続する隣接した防水シート
の端部にゴム糊あるいはエマルジヨン系接着剤を
塗布してから室温にて乾燥し、それからそれらの
端部同志をラツプさせ、かかる後そのラツプ部を
押圧することにより行なわれる。
しかしこの接着剤塗布方法ではゴム糊あるいは
エマルジヨン系接着剤が完全に接着するのに1日
〜2週間程度の養生期間が必要である。これはゴ
ム糊の溶剤、あるいはエマルジヨン系接着剤の水
分がラツプ間に残留し、ゴム糊のゴムやエマルジ
ヨン系接着剤の樹脂の接着を弱めると共に溶剤の
揮散によるふくれ不良が発生するからである。こ
の場合、塗布したゴム糊あるいはエマルジヨン系
接着剤の溶剤分、或いは水分を完全に揮散させる
ため高温で乾燥したのでは接着性が失われる。し
かもこの1日〜2週間程度の養生期間には、シー
トの収縮、作業者の歩行等の外的要因によりラツ
プ接続部が剥離するトラブルも発生し、その結果
漏水事故を起こす懸念があつた。
他方、未加硫ゴムシート接続方法は、接続する
隣接した加硫ゴム防水シートの端末同志のラツプ
間に接着性未加硫ゴムテープを挟み、外側からプ
レス機により加圧加熱して接続する。しかしこの
プレス機は大型で現地への搬送が厄介であり、し
かも接続作業も1枚ずつ行うのに作業能率が劣
り、その上、防水シート施工の下地面となる加硫
ゴム防水シートの端末からの加熱ができないため
接着強度が劣る難点がある。
[発明が解決しようとする問題点]
本発明はかかる点に立つて為されたものであつ
て、その目的とするところは前記した従来技術の
欠点を解消し、迅速に接続でき、しかも接続後は
接着強度が大きい接続部とすることができる加硫
ゴム防水シートの接続方法を提供することにあ
る。
[問題点を解決するための手段]
本発明の加硫ゴム防水シートの接続方法の要旨
とするところは、加硫ゴム防水シートの端部に熱
可塑性ゴム溶液の塗布層を形成し、該塗布層を熱
風で加熱溶融してから加圧融着することにある。
本発明において、熱可塑性ゴムとは溶剤に溶解
し、塗布できるものならよく、例えばスチレンブ
タジエン系ブロツクポリマー、スチレンイソブチ
レン系ブロツクポリマー、エチレン酢酸ビニル系
ポリマー等である。また、これらに合成樹脂、汎
用ゴム、粘着付与剤、可塑剤、充填剤等をブレン
ドしたものでもよい。
[作用]
本発明の加硫ゴム防水シートの接続方法は、加
硫ゴム防水シートの端部に熱可塑性ゴム溶液の塗
布層を形成し、該塗布層を熱風で加熱することに
より、熱可塑性ゴム溶液の塗布層の溶剤分を完全
に揮散、燃焼させると共に溶融し、その溶融状態
下でラツブ部を強固に加圧融着させることにあ
る。
[実施例]
次に本発明の加硫ゴム防水シートの接続方法の
一実施例を第1図及び第2図により説明する。
まず、接続する加硫ゴム防水シート1と、トル
エンにクレイトンG1650(シエル化学株式会社の
熱可塑性ゴムの商品名)の30%溶解溶液を用意す
る。
次に、加硫ゴム防水シート1のラツプ部となる
端部の50mm幅の部分にクレイトンG1650の30%溶
解溶液を塗布し、それから室温で30分乾燥させる
ことにより塗布層2を形成させる。第1図は得ら
れた塗布層2付加硫ゴム防水シート1である。
次に、第1図の塗布層2付加硫ゴム防水シート
1をそれらの塗布層2が互いに向い合うようにラ
ツプさせる。それから塗布層2が向い合うように
ラツプさせた境界面に熱風が吹き抜けるように若
干持上げ、その境界面に汎用ホツトエアーガン、
火炎機等の熱風機3により熱風を送込み、塗布層
2を加熱溶融させると共に残留溶剤を完全に揮散
させる。それから直ちに、溶融した塗布層2を完
全にラツプさせ、そのラツプ部をロール4で加圧
融着させる。
本発明の加硫ゴム防水シートの接続方法では、
塗布層2の溶剤は室温の乾燥でほどんど揮散し、
更に熱風加熱により完全に揮散する。従つて残存
溶剤によるラツプ接続部のふくれ不良が生ずるこ
とがない。しかも熱可塑性ゴムの塗布層2は、熱
風加熱しても熱溶融性を保持している。
次に、かくして得た本発明の加硫ゴム防水シー
トの接続部及び比較資料として従来の接続方法で
接続した加硫ゴム防水シートの接続部の剪断接着
力を測定した。
比較資料は、従来のクロロプレン系糊接着剤、
ブチルゴム系糊接着剤をラツプ間に介して接着し
たものである。第1表はその測定結果を示したも
のである。

In this case, if the adhesive is dried at a high temperature to completely volatilize the solvent or water content of the applied rubber glue or emulsion adhesive, adhesiveness will be lost. Moreover, during this curing period of about 1 day to 2 weeks, troubles such as the lap joints peeling off due to external factors such as shrinkage of the sheet and walking of the worker occur, which may result in a water leakage accident. On the other hand, in the method of connecting unvulcanized rubber sheets, an adhesive unvulcanized rubber tape is sandwiched between the laps of the ends of adjacent vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets to be connected, and the tape is pressed and heated from the outside with a press machine to connect them. However, this press machine is large and difficult to transport to the site, and the work efficiency is low as it connects each sheet one by one.Furthermore, it is difficult to connect the ends of the vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheet, which is the base surface of the tarpaulin sheet construction. The problem is that the adhesive strength is poor because it cannot be heated. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The present invention has been made based on the above points, and its purpose is to eliminate the drawbacks of the above-mentioned prior art, to enable quick connection, and to provide quick connection after connection. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for connecting vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets that can provide a connection portion with high adhesive strength. [Means for Solving the Problems] The gist of the method for connecting vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets of the present invention is to form a coating layer of a thermoplastic rubber solution on the edge of a vulcanized rubber waterproof sheet, The process involves heating and melting the layers with hot air and then pressurizing and fusing them. In the present invention, the thermoplastic rubber may be any material that can be dissolved in a solvent and coated, such as a styrene-butadiene block polymer, a styrene-isobutylene block polymer, an ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer, and the like. Alternatively, a blend of these with synthetic resins, general-purpose rubbers, tackifiers, plasticizers, fillers, etc. may be used.
