To explain the embodiment of the present invention shown in the drawings, a machine frame 1 has a starting end roller 12 and a terminal end roller 1.
3, several endless belts 14 are wound around both rollers 12, 13 to form a seaweed conveyor 2, and groove forming guide rollers 15, 15 and 16, 16 are provided at the upper transition part of the conveyor 2. The belt 14 is guided by the same rollers 15, 16 to form a groove 17 in the upper transition part of the conveyor 2. At the top of the conveyor 2, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a common rotating shaft 18 perpendicular to the nori conveying direction a is pivotally supported on the machine frame 1, and a plurality of nori pressing rollers 19 are mounted on the rotating shaft 18. will be established. This roller 19 is disposed between the belts 14, 14 as shown in FIG.
By making the seaweed 7 meander up and down in the direction perpendicular to , and by providing a guide 20 that is at the same level as the top surface of the belt 14 in contact with the roller 19, the seaweed 7 is also made to meander up and down in the carrying-out direction a, and Therefore, it is possible to provide the meandering portion 3 that meanders up and down in the composite direction of the direction a and the direction perpendicular thereto. As shown in FIG. 6, this vertical meandering section 3 is constructed by providing a roller 19 directly above the belt 14, and fixing a guide 21 made of a spherical body to the machine frame 1 in the middle part of the belts 14, 14, so that the belt 14 and the roller 19 are connected to each other. By holding the spherical guide 21 higher than the level of the clamped seaweed 7 and letting the seaweed 7 pass over the spherical guide 21, the vertical meandering portion 3 of the seaweed in the direction a, its perpendicular direction, and its composite direction is created. can also be formed. A light emitting device 5 using a phototube is provided at the bottom of the meandering section 3, the direction of the irradiated light beam 4 is provided obliquely through the meandering section 3, and a light receiving device 6 is provided at the top of the meandering section 3. It is. The direction of the irradiation light beam 4 may be diagonally upward in the direction of arrow a as shown in FIG. 4, or diagonally upward in the direction opposite to arrow a as shown in FIG. Further, at the lower part of the belt 14, light emitting devices 8 and 9 made of upward photocells are provided with at least a fixed distance 1 between the transported seaweed 7, and at the upper part of the belt 14, a light receiving device corresponding to the light emitting devices 8 and 9 is provided. 10 and 11 are provided.
In addition, 22 in the figure is a phototube for detecting the end of defective seaweed detection operation, 23 is its light receiving device, 24 is a transporting seaweed undulation stopper, and 25 is the same stopper 24.
26, 26 are the raising and lowering arms for lifting the seaweed, 27 is the solenoid for operating the same arms 26, 26, 28 is the lifting rod for lifting the seaweed, 29 is the prime mover, 3
0 is a drive intermediate shaft, 31 is a drive sprocket provided on the intermediate shaft 30, 32 is a sprocket provided on the starting end roller shaft, 33 and 34 are drive chains, 35 is a sprocket provided on the groove forming guide roller shaft, 3
6 is a sprocket provided on the common rotation shaft 18, 37
38 is a drive chain, and 38 is a link for operating the lifting arms 26, 26.

Therefore, the dried seaweed 7 supplied from the seaweed peeling machine to the conveyor 2 is transported by the belt 14 in the direction of arrow a, and immediately after its tip passes through the vertical meandering section 3, it is exposed to the light emitting device 8 and its light receiving device 10. When the light beam is interrupted, the b contact closes and the light beam 4 is emitted from the light emitting device 5. If there is a crack in the seaweed 7, as the seaweed 7 meanders up and down, the crack 39 opens, the irradiated light beam 4 passes through it, and the light receiving device 6 senses the light beam 4, so the a contact is closed and the solenoid 25 is operated. Then, the stopper 24 is rotated from the upright position (imaginary line) to the laid down position (solid line) in FIG. If there are no cracks 39 in the seaweed 7, the light beam 4 will remain blocked and the light receiving device 6 will not operate, so the stopper 24 will remain upright, and the seaweed 7 will be stopped by the stopper 24, so it may be necessary to use manual or other mechanical means (e.g. This can be taken out of the machine by raising the lifting rod 28). Furthermore, when the tip of the seaweed 7 passes the upper part of the first light emitting device 8 and then the upper part of the second light emitting device 9, the rear end of the seaweed 7 blocks the upward beam of light from the first light emitting device 8. If not, the seaweed 7 is shrunk seaweed that is less than the specified size, and the first light receiving device 10 operates and the stopper 24
The seaweed is laid down at the solid line position in FIG. 4 and discharged from the conveyor 2 in the direction of arrow a as defective seaweed. However, if the tip of the seaweed 7 blocks the light beam from the first light emitting device 8 at the same time as it blocks the upward light beam from the second light emitting device 9, the stopper 24 will not fall down and the seaweed 7 will remain upright. 24 and blocks the light beam from the third light emitting device 22, and the arm 26,
26 and lift the seaweed 7 upward manually or by using the lifting rod 28 or the like to accumulate or take it out.

Conventionally, defective products such as cracks, defects, or shrinkage in dried seaweed 7 made by a seaweed peeling machine were removed manually, which not only required a lot of labor, but also made vertical and horizontal cracks in particular difficult to detect with the naked eye and exposed to irradiated light. Mechanical detection was also difficult because it did not pass through.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, the vertical and horizontal cracks 39 are opened at the vertical meandering portion 3, and the irradiation light beam 4 passes through the openings, so that the cracks 39 can not only be detected reliably without the need for human power, but also long. There is an effect that the detection of shrunken seaweed in the length direction or the width direction can be easily performed without requiring any human power.
