The overlapping of the outer leather and the core material or lining material, which has a folded part to the back side of the core material or lining material, is passed through a drawing die and the folded part is bent along the periphery of the core material or lining material. After bending and stacking the bent folded part on the back side of the core material or lining material using a wiper, a pair of high-frequency bonding electrodes is used to bend the folded part to overlap the outer leather and the core material or lining material. A method of joining by pressing at the overlapped portion is known from Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 52-81385.

Although the above method is related to the invention of the present inventors, the method still has the following drawbacks. That is, the shape of the shirring folds that occur when the folded part is bent over the back surface of the core material or lining material by a wiper is inconsistent and tends to become coarse folds, and therefore the folds swell and the area is not strongly compressed. In particular, sufficient joint strength cannot be obtained in areas without pleats, and as a result, the appearance of the joint becomes inferior. There is no problem with items such as shoes where the sole leather is pasted and hidden, but with bags and chairs. In the case of products where joints are visible, such as in backrests, the commercial value is reduced.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and uses a high-frequency shaping electrode in advance on the folded part of the outer leather to prevent the folded part from forming when the folded part is bent onto the back surface of the core material or lining material. This invention was made based on the discovery that the above-mentioned drawbacks could be overcome by shaping the shirred pleats. And furthermore,
As a pair of high-frequency bonding electrodes that press and bond the outer leather and the core material or lining material and the overlapped material at the bent overlapped portion of the folded portion, a thin strip-shaped biting portion having a wavy blade shape on at least one side is used. It was also confirmed that by using a molded electrode having a surface pressing part along one side of the biting part corresponding to the end side of the folded part, an electrode with even better appearance, bonding strength, and durability could be obtained.

以下、本発明を図面に基づいて説明する。 Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained based on the drawings.

In the method of the present invention, a high frequency shaping electrode 1 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is first applied to the folded part of the leather.
Shaping for the shirring folds is performed using the This shaping electrode 1 has radial convex portions 1a at the corners.
is provided. Of course, a partner electrode is required for shaping, but a planar electrode is usually used as the partner electrode, and in special cases, for example,
In the case where the bulge of the shirred folds is to be emphasized and left, a type electrode having a male and female relationship with the forming electrode 1 having a concave portion corresponding to the convex portion 1a of the forming electrode 1 is also used.

Shaping is carried out by sandwiching the leather between a flat electrode (not shown) or a mold electrode having a male and female relationship with the forming electrode 1, with the frame of the forming electrode 1 touching the folded part of the leather. This is done by applying a high-frequency voltage between both electrodes, but if a flat electrode is used as the other electrode,
This is caused by the portion of the shaped electrode 1 pressed by the convex portion 1a becoming thinner and easier to bend, and when using a male-female type electrode, an uneven shape is provided and the stepped portion of the unevenness. This is especially achieved by thinning the corners. Therefore, in any case, the number of shirred folds to be generated is determined by the shape, so the fold shape is stable, and especially when a flat electrode is used as the other electrode, the number of shirred folds to be generated is determined by the shape. The bulge is smaller than when conventional pleating is not performed, and it is more likely to be flattened. In this case, shaping can be done by applying either the front or back side of the leather to the flat electrode side, but in order to minimize the bulge of the shirring folds, it is best to place the flat electrode on the front side and apply the back side to the flat electrode side. It is preferable to compress using the mold electrode 1. FIG. 3 shows an example of the outer leather 2 shaped in this manner, and the dashed-dotted lines in the figure indicate the positions where the core material or the lining material is overlapped. When using male-female type electrodes, the above-mentioned front-back relationship does not matter much.

For example, the outer leather 2 shown in FIG. 3, which has been shaped as described above, is overlaid with a core material 3 or a lining material 4 as shown in FIG. The folded part was bent along the periphery of the core material 3 or lining material 4, and the bent folded part was bent and stacked on the back side of the core material 3 or lining material 4 using a wiper 6 as shown in FIG. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 7, the folded and overlapping portions are clamped between a pair of high-frequency bonding electrodes 7 and 8, and a high-frequency voltage is applied between both electrodes to form a covering bond. Here, the bonding electrode 7
As shown in FIG. 8, there is provided a type electrode having a thin band-shaped biting part 7a having a wavy blade shape, and a surface pressing part 7b that presses the edge side of the folded part of the leather along one side of the biting part. However, when such a type electrode is used, the biting part 7a bites deeply into the overlapping layer of the outer leather and core material or lining material, and a strong bond with a perforation-like appearance can be obtained. Along with this, the surface pressing part 7b
Since the folded part on the edge side of the above-mentioned perforated joint line is pressed down to create a joint, the part where the shirring folds are formed is joined as strongly as the other parts, and moreover, the part where the shirring folds are formed is strongly joined. An excellent effect can be obtained in that the crushed state is not noticeable.

As described above, the present invention provides an excellent covered joint in which mechanically balanced shirring is performed, and a beautiful and strong joint can be made not only in areas where shirring creases do not occur but also in shirring creases. give.

In the present invention, the shaping electrode for shaping the shirring folds is not limited to a rectangular cross section of the convex portion, but may have a rounded convex surface or a trapezoidal or triangular shape. Alternatively, more radial protrusions may be added from the middle between adjacent radial protrusions on the inside. Also,
A pair of high-frequency bonding electrodes used to bond the outer leather and the core material or lining material may both be electrodes of the type shown in FIG.

The outer leather used in the present invention is most preferably an artificial leather containing dielectrically heated thermoplastic plastic, and among these, an artificial leather made by impregnating a nonwoven fabric with a polyurethane resin and coating it is most preferably used, but the invention is limited thereto. It is also preferable to use synthetic leather, which is made of a woven or knitted fabric such as nylon or polyester as a base fabric and coated with a polyurethane resin. In addition, it is preferable that the core material or lining material covered by such outer leather be made of a material that can be dielectrically heated to fuse with the outer leather, but if not, it can be melted by dielectric heating. It is also possible to apply a bonding adhesive to the joints.
