【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はプリント板同士を接続するコネクタに
関し、特に接続すべきプリント板同士のコネクタ
接合用スルーホールのピツチが異る場合に適用す
るピツチ変換コネクタに関するものである。

通信装置等においては各種機能を有するシート
板(プリント板)が多数架内に収容される。この
ようなシート板は多数の端子を有するコネクタを
介して架装置のバツクボード(プリント板)に接
続される。このシート板およびバツクボードには
各々プラグ側およびジヤツク側のコネクタを取付
けるためのランド、すなわちコネクタランドが上
記コネクタ端子に対応して設けられた各ランドに
印刷回路パターンが接続する。このようなコネク
タランドはプリント板上に回路パターンを形成す
るための基準となる基準格子上に穿設される。こ
の基準格子の間隔として2.50mm系と2.54mm系の2
種類のプリント板が通常使用されている。従つ
て、コネクタ端子のピツチ間隔もプリント板に対
応して2.50mm系と2.54mm系の2種類となり同一ピ
ツチのジヤツクおよびプラグが一対として使用さ
れる。基準格子の格子間隔が異るシート板および
バツクボードを接続する場合、従来はシート板の
パターン変換によりシート板のコネクタ取付け用
コネクタランドのピツチをバツクボードの基準格
子に合せて形成し両者を同一格子のコネクタによ
り結合していた。即ち、シート板の回路パターン
の基準格子のピツチでバツフアランドを設け、こ
のバツフアランドに隣接してランドと異るピツチ
のコネクタランドを形成し対応するバツフアラン
ドとコネクタランドとをパターンで接続してい
る。しかしながら、このようなパターンによるピ
ツチ変換方法においては、シート板上にコネクタ
ランド部分の他にバツフアランド部分を必要とす
るためスペース的に制約を受けるばかりでなく、
シート板上に2種類の基準格子に基いてパターニ
ングされるため基準格子に対応したランド位置に
試験用端子を接触して行う自動布線試験機による
シート板全面のパターンチエツクの自動化ができ
ない。

て、プリント板のパターンによる基準格子変換を
することなく基準格子の異るプリント板同士を結
合可能とするピツチ変換コネクタの提供を目的と
する。このため本発明においては、コネクタ本体
の一方の側に複数のプリント板接合用リード端子
を並列して突出させ、他方の側に上記各リード端
子と一体のコネクタ接続端子を並列して設け、上
記リード端子の配列ピツチとコネクタ接続端子の
配列ピツチを異ならせたピツチ変換コネクタを形
成している。

形成している。このようなピツチ変換コネクタは
基準格子ピツチがP2のシート板7に装着される。
このシート板7にはコネクタのリード端子2を挿
入するためのコネクタランド5がピツチP2の間隔
で形成され各コネクタランド5には図示しない回
路パターンに接続する配線パターン6が接続す
る。このようなピツチP1のコネクタ接続端子を有
するプラグ側コネクタを装着したシート板7は第
2図に示すように基準格子ピツチがP1のバツクボ
ード9のジヤツク側コネクタ8に装着される。こ
のジヤツク側コネクタ8のコネクタ接続端子(ジ
ヤツク端子)およびバツクボードに接続するため
のリード端子のピツチはともにP1である。このよ
うにしてシート板7の配線パターンの基準格子を
変換することなく、コネクタの接続端子のピツチ
を変換することにより基準格子間隔の異るシート
板をバツクボードに接続することができる。従つ
て、シート板7の全面を回路パターンとして有効
に使用でき、また基準格子が一種類に統一される
ためパターンチエツクの自動化が達成され、さら
にプリント配線設計の自動化も容易になる。
