本発明はイージーオープン缶のプルタブに関す
るものであり、尚詳しくは該プルタブの製造方法

付設し、該プルタブ20を持上げて切込線13で
囲周された開口部12を開口する構造の容器が多

このプルタブ20の製造順序としては、第2図
に示す如く、所要幅の金属帯状コイル15に所要
幅の連結部22を除く環状のカツト線16をもつ
てタブ素材21の外形を打抜き(第2図A)、該
タブ素材21を前記コイル15から個々に切断分
離することなく連結部22にて帯状コイル15に
連続させて固定したままの状態でリベツト穴23
を明け、且つ適宜凹凸形状等の成形を施し、周縁
カール24を設ける等、所要のタブ成形加工を施
し(第2図B)、然る後タブ素材21の端部で連
結部22を切断してプルタブ20を完成させてい

[考案が解決しようとする問題点]
上述の様に、周縁中央において連結部を形成し
て製造されたプルタブ20は、持上部30の上端
部側に連結部22を設けてタブ加工を行なうもの
であり、前記連結部22は幅が狭く、長さも短い
為に、帯状コイル15から切断した後、プルタブ
20から突出する該連結部22の後処理が困難と
なる。この為、第2図Cに示す様に連結部22の
タブ素材21側端部で切断し、以てプルタブ20
に連結部22の痕跡を残さない様に切断すること
により、プルタブ20に指を掛けたとき指先に切
断端部が極力接触しない様にしているも、プルタ
ブ20の持上部30においては連結部22の切断
端部28位置で周縁カール24が不連続となり、
缶容器の開口に際し該不連続部分が指先に接し、
不快感を与えるのみでなく、時には指先を刺傷す

し、周縁カールの不連続部分が指に接触すること
を極力防止していたが未だ充分ではなかつた。
又、帯状コイル15とタブ素材21との連結部2
2をプルタブ20の左右に設けるプルタブ20に
あつては、前記の様に持上部30に指を掛けた場
合に不連続部分が指に接することは防止される
も、コイル15の幅としてタブ素材21の幅に2
個の連結部22の長さを加えた幅が必要となり、
幅広い帯状コイルが必要となつて資材の無駄が多

本発明に係るプルタブ20の製造方法は、先
ず、第2図Aに示す様に、帯状コイル15に所定
幅の連結部22を除く環状のカツト線16をもつ
て打抜いてタブ素材21の外形を形成し、リベツ
ト穴23を明け所要の周縁カール24の折曲げ加
工等を施すと共に、第10図に示す如くタブ補強
用の凹陥部26を形成し、更にタブ素材21を帯
状コイル15よりも凹入せしめ、以て連結部22
を横S字状とする。そして、第6図に示す様に連
結部22の帯状コイル15側端部で切断し、第7
図の裏面図び第8図の断面図に示す如く、該切断
端部28を内方に位置させる様に連結部22をカ
ールさせる。即ちプルオープンタイプのイージー
オープン缶に用いるプルタブ20において、タブ
加工を施す際のタブ素材21と帯状コイル15と
を連結していた連結部22をもタブの周縁と同様

切断端部28が指に接触することなく開口に際し
指を刺傷する虞れがなく、又、第4図の如く周縁
カール24に膨出部25を設ける必要がなく持上
部30における形状を上面より見れば第9図の如
くその外形を単純化できる故、周縁カール加工等
を一層容易になし得る形状とし、プルタブの生産

本発明に係るプルタブの製造方法は、前述の様
にタブ素材をコイル素材よりも凹入せしめて連結
部をS字状にした後に切断し、カール加工を施す
故、カール加工が容易であり、連結部をカール加
工し、缶容器の開口に際して指が切断端部に接触
することがなく、不快感を与えたり、指を刺傷す
る虞れをなくすことができる故、連結部は帯状コ
イルの中央線に沿つて設けることができ、資材を
無駄なく使用し得る製造方法であり、更に、この
様な方法により製造されるプルタブは、缶容器の
開口に際し、指が切断端部に接触することがな
く、不快感を与えたり、指を刺傷する虞れがない
為、連結部の両端において周縁カールに膨出部を
設ける必要がなく、比較的単純な外形のプルタブ
として成形することも可能となり、ひいてはプル
タブを一層容易に形成し得ることとなるプルタブ
