The escalator balustrade of the present invention has a panel fitting groove located approximately in the middle in the width direction and opening toward the inner circumferential surface, and a panel fitting groove located on both sides of the groove to sandwich the panel fitting groove and opening toward the outer circumferential surface. A long rod-shaped support body having two rail mounting grooves extending in the longitudinal direction and screw insertion holes crossing the grooves at multiple locations at intervals in the longitudinal direction is molded from synthetic resin, and this support is made of synthetic resin. The body is fitted in such a manner that this panel fitting groove is directly fitted to the peripheral part of the parapet panel in the longitudinal direction, and the guide rail of the movable handrail is now fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the support body in the longitudinal direction. Attach the protruding double legs so that they fit into the rail mounting grooves, and in that state, insert the tightening screws into each screw insertion hole of the support so that the support can connect to the periphery of the balustrade panel and the guide rail. It has a configuration in which the two legs of the railing are clamped and tightened, and the mounting of the support to the periphery of the parapet panel and the installation and support of the guide rail by the support can be done simply, reliably, and at the same time using a common tightening screw. In addition, there is no need to use conventional deck boards, cushioning rubber, supporting metal fittings, backing plates, back covers, etc., and the number of parts is extremely small, making manufacturing and assembly simple and economical. Moreover, it becomes a handrail with a simple design and excellent design.

Since the constructed parapet panel 13, support body 14, and guide rail 15 are tightened by fitting into grooves, the constructed parapet will not fall off due to warping or become loose. It can perform a sufficient function as a parapet. Furthermore, since the intermediate support 14 is a synthetic resin molded product, it can be directly attached to the balustrade panel 13 without any intervening cushioning rubber or the like, without causing any scratches or cracks, and the support 14 itself has a beautiful appearance. Since it has a good appearance, there is no need to fit a deck board or attach a back cover like when using conventional mounting brackets, and in any case, the number of parts is greatly reduced, making it economical. , it has a very simple and novel design, is full of transparency, and has a great design effect.
