Conventionally, when raising seedlings, a method is known in which a seedling case and a soil container are combined and transported on a feed chain, and the seedlings are raised by watering after sowing the seeds, as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1844/1982. Although this method makes it easy to manage the seedlings, it is inconvenient that the seedlings must be removed from the seedling case when transplanting.
On the other hand, soil blocks are simply compacted soil and other seedling-raising materials by hand or machine.
After producing soil blocks, all you need to do is sow the seeds in individual blocks, raise the seedlings, and then transplant them as they are. After transplanting, the roots rapidly extend into the field, so it is widely used for raising and transplanting agricultural and horticultural crops, etc. I came. However, actually manufacturing soil blocks not only requires a lot of effort, but also has drawbacks such as large differences in strength between individual blocks, high probability of breakage during handling, and rhizosphere soil falling off during transplantation. There is. In addition, conventional soil blocks are manufactured by compressing the soil for raising seedlings from above, or by forming it into a plate shape and cutting it from above, resulting in separate blocks, or the upper part is a block and the lower part is a block. Therefore, when using the soil block to raise seedlings, there are disadvantages such as the surface of the block is exposed to the outside air and tends to dry out easily, and the corners are susceptible to collapse when water is applied. There is.

The present invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances. In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of soil blocks, the upper surface is connected to form a plate shape, and the lower part is an inverted ladder type block to prevent collapse due to irrigation and to prevent soil blocks from collapsing due to outside air. Focusing on preventing unnecessary drying by preventing direct contact with the soil, we developed a device that continuously produces soil blocks by filling a belt with soil for raising seedlings, compressing it, and removing it from the surface to form a soil block. A large number of block forming holes are provided in the belt, a seedling raising soil supply device, a pressure seeding hole device, and a seeding machine are provided in that order above this belt, and a tape supply device facing each row of block holes is provided in front of the rotation of the belt. By setting up
After placing the block in the hole and filling it with soil and sowing with the device, the block is pulled out from the rotational rear end of the belt by a tape pull-out device and taken out from the belt, and the used tape is aligned by an alignment device such as a dancer roll. The problem was solved by providing a device that simultaneously supplies the tape to the tape supply device.

To explain the present invention with reference to the drawings, reference numeral 1 denotes a machine frame, which is fixed on a stand 2. Pulleys 3 and 3' are attached to this machine frame 1, and a belt 4 is stretched between the pulleys 3 and 3' and rotated in the direction of the arrow. belt 4
A large number of block-forming holes 5 divided into valve shapes are provided in a row on its surface. The size of this block forming hole 5 is determined depending on the purpose of raising seedlings.
For example, the size of the opening is 3 to 7 cm in length and width at the top, 2 to 5 cm at the bottom, and 2 to 5 cm in depth. The block forming hole 5 may be provided directly on the belt, or a pot body of the above-mentioned size may be attached to the belt 4. In front of the rotation of the belt 4, there are the same number of tape loading gears 6 as a tape feeding device.
is provided, and its tooth body is fitted into the block forming hole 5, so that when the belt 4 rotates, the gear 6 also rotates, and the tape 7 is laid in the block forming hole 5. The tape 7 is made of strong natural or synthetic fiber and is endless, and its width is approximately the same as the bottom width of the hole 5. In addition, although the tape insertion gear 6 is shown as one in the figure, there is no problem even if a plurality of gears are used. When the belt 4 on which the tape 7 is spread rotates in the direction of the arrow, it reaches a seedling-raising soil hopper 8. The seedling-raising soil hopper 8 is a mixture of soil, bark compost, peat moss, papermaking residue, etc., with fertilizers, chemicals, etc. It uses fibers and contains fibrous materials that act as a binder. Although not shown in the figure, it is preferable to provide a stirring device inside the hopper 8 in order to improve the feeding of the soil for raising seedlings. A gate 9 is provided at the lower part of the hopper to allow it to move up and down along the wall surface, thereby adjusting the amount of hopper delivered. The hopper 8 may be replaced by various feeding devices such as a belt feeder, screw feeder, roll feeder, etc. 10,
10' is a side plate that slides on both sides of the belt 4;
It is fixed to the machine frame 1, has a thickness greater than the thickness of the soil for raising seedlings, and extends from below the hopper 8 to the transfer end of the belt 4. For this reason, gate 9
The soil for raising seedlings that has been drawn out to a more constant thickness is conveyed by the belt 4 between the side plates 10 and 10'. Reference numeral 11 denotes a compression seeding hole drum, which is installed behind the gate 9 and at a constant height above the belt 4, and compresses the delivered soil for raising seedlings to the required hardness and drills a large number of seeding holes 19 on its surface. For this purpose, the drum 11 crosses the belt 4, its shaft 12 loosely fits into the machine frame 1 at both ends, and the motor 13
The belt 4 rotates at the same linear speed as the belt 4. The drum 11 also has a large number of seeding hole protrusions 14 at predetermined positions on its surface in accordance with the pitches of the block holes 5, and preferably has a large number of grooves (not shown) on its surface to spread the soil for raising seedlings. Good biting. A plurality of drums 11 may be provided, or the drum 11 may be used in place of a suppression belt to increase the degree of suppression. A floating roll 15 is provided below the drum 11 in contact with the lower surface of the belt 4, and its shaft is loosely fitted into the machine frame 1 and is held between the upper and lower sides to complete compaction of the soil for raising seedlings and complete perforation by the projections 14. . The soil for raising seedlings is pushed into the block hole 5 by the pressing seeding drum 11, and the soil plate 16 whose upper part is plate-shaped is sent to the belt 4 and reaches the bottom of the seeding machine 17. The seeding machine 17 is fixed to the machine frame 1, and its seeding drum 18
is located above the belt 4 and has a number of seed holes on its surface. The pitch of this seed hole is the sowing hole 1 made by the protrusion 14 of the drum 11.
9, and since the seeding drum 18 is rotated at the same speed by the drum 11 and the chain 20, the seeds will surely fall into the seeding holes made by the larger diameter projections 14. When the belt 4 rotates further, it reaches the presser belt 21 provided above, further compresses the clay plate 16, and conveys it to the end of the belt 4. Therefore, the presser belt 21
is preferably driven at the same linear velocity as the belt 4. Reference numerals 22 and 23 designate pull-out wheels for the tape 7 provided as a tape pull-out device, whose ends are loosely fitted into the machine frame 1 and rotated by a chain wheel 24 fixed to the pulley 3', whose linear speed is the same as the linear speed of the belt 4. The drawer wheels 22 and 23 have tape 7 between them.
Pull the tape 7 while holding it in place and slipping it. The pull-out wheels 22 and 23 may be replaced with dancer rolls, which will be described later. Therefore, the clay plate 16 is pulled out from the block forming hole 5 at the end of the pulley 3', and the upper surface is pressed by the presser belt 21 and taken out. The taken out soil plate 16 has a plate-like upper surface and an inverted ladder-shaped soil block at the bottom, and since it has already been sown, it is received in a saucer 25 and cut to a desired length to raise seedlings. Transport it to a location and use it for raising seedlings.

On the other hand, the tape 7 pulled out by the pull-out wheels 22 and 23 includes a dancer roll 26 suspended from each tape, and a guide roll 27 loosely fitted into the machine frame 1.
The tape is guided while maintaining a predetermined posture by an aligning device constituted by the above, circulates forward of the belt 4, and is pulled by a gear 6 serving as a tape supply device to repeat the above operation. Each of the guide rolls 27 is provided with grooves at regular intervals on its surface, and each tape 7 is applied to each groove. For this reason, the tape rotates in an organized manner on the dancer roll 26 and the guide roll 27, and there is no chance of the tape being disorganized during work.
28 is a chain that drives the seeding machine, 29 is an intermediate gear, and 30 is a chain that drives the pull-out wheel 22.

As described above, the present invention makes it possible to continuously manufacture soil blocks, which was considered difficult in the past, and since the tape 7 is used in circulation,
Unlike the device described in No. 1844, it is possible to provide an inexpensive soil block without requiring a seedling case, and there are advantages such as facilitating the transplanting work since there is no need to remove the seedling case at the time of transplanting.
