[Detailed Description of the Invention] The methods of accepting and stacking paper and cards that are processed and automatically output one after another from a copying machine or data processor are roughly divided into two types: one in which paper is stacked horizontally, and one in which paper is stacked vertically. The latter type of sorter has been adopted in recent years.

The present invention relates to an improvement of the latter type of vertical receiver. Vertical receivers do not take up much space, and are often used in sorters to sort and collect copied paper etc. that are automatically sent out from copying machines. The bottom of the container is curved, making it impossible to stack the paper neatly, and to prevent the paper from curving, when the lower end of the paper is pressed against the wall with a presser from one side, the presser will prevent the lower edge of the paper from completely stacking up. This also had the disadvantage of preventing the paper from falling to the bottom, making it impossible to obtain an orderly stack of paper. This pattern is shown in Figures 1 and 2 together with the structure of a conventional sorter receiver.

In FIG. 1, a plurality of receivers 1 having the same configuration are lined up under a passage 5 through which paper is automatically fed out, and paper that has been copied and sent out from the upper opening of each receiver is appropriately sorted and thrown in. It will be done. This input sorting is done by opening and closing the lid 2 of the opening called a finger, but when it is opened as shown in the figure, the paper fed from the right side to the left side via the roller 6 is removed from the tip edge. hits the back surface of the finger 2, the paper gradually curves downward and is guided by the guide 3, and its leading edge runs along the wall surface 7 of the receiver 1 and hits the bottom surface 8, causing the paper to curve downward and move downward.
Paper is deposited sequentially along the line. However, if the weight of the paper is large or the rigidity is small, the tip (lower) edge of the paper that touches the bottom surface will be at the bottom surface 8.
It may curve further along (see Figure 2 b)
For this reason, the paper presser foot 4 is spring-biased toward the wall surface 7.
is provided to constantly press the leading edge of the paper against the wall surface 7, but when paper with a small weight is thrown in, the paper presser becomes an obstacle, resulting in a situation in which the leading edge of the paper does not reach the bottom surface 8. (See Figure 2a).

Such a condition not only causes the sheets to be uneven when the stack of papers is taken out, but also leads to a decrease in the paper storage capacity. In a vertical sorter as shown in Fig. 1, the roller 6,
The distance between the rollers is regulated, and the distance between the rollers regulates the length of the bottom surface of the collector, which in turn regulates the thickness of the paper pile, so this type of collector originally has a small storage capacity, and as shown in Figure 2. The kind of accumulation shown should have been avoided.

The present invention can completely avoid the above-mentioned drawbacks, and the leading edges of all the papers sequentially fed into the receiver 1 completely contact the bottom surface 8, and the paper surfaces completely follow the wall surface 7. It is deposited in a close and orderly manner.

In FIG. 3, as in the case of FIG. 1, the paper sent through the paper delivery path is turned downward by the finger 2, and its lower edge is guided by the guide 3 so that it follows the wall surface 7. is guided to the bottom surface 8 without any resistance.
It corresponds to the sheet surface 9 pasted on. At this time, even if the lower edge tries to bend in the opposite direction to the wall surface 7, the lower edge cannot slide on the bottom surface. I have no choice but to live along with it. The next sheet of paper thrown in is also stacked on top of the previous sheet in the same manner as described above, resulting in an orderly stack of paper as shown at 10.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment suitable for the case where curled paper or paper folded by a paper folding machine is thrown in. The sheet material 9 with a large friction coefficient is a flocked material, and it also resists resistance when facing the wall surface 7. It is a sheet material that has little resistance in the opposite direction, and is currently easily available as a cloth with diagonal flocking. A paper presser foot 11 is provided which has a much lower spring bias than the paper presser shown in FIG. 1 and does not prevent the paper from falling naturally.

When curled or folded paper is thrown in, the lower edge of the paper may not touch the corner of the wall or the lower edge of the previously thrown paper, but the direction of the wall surface 7 of the flocked sheet 9 Since the frictional resistance is small, the slight pressure of the paper presser draws it towards the wall surface 7,
Even if the lower edge tries to move in a direction away from the wall surface 7 in reaction to this, the resistance is large enough to prevent it from returning in this direction. Furthermore, the bottom surface of the collector is upwardly sloped, so the pressure exerted by the presser foot 11 and the mechanical vibrations combine to cause the paper to gradually become deposited in close contact with each other. In this way, even curled or folded paper, which tends to be bulky, becomes an orderly pile.

The receiver according to the present invention not only allows paper to be piled up in a much more orderly manner than the conventional type without adding any complicated mechanism compared to the conventional mechanism. It is also sound-absorbing, so it does not make any noise when paper is put in, and it can eliminate the chatter and resonance sounds that tend to occur from the receiver, and it is a device that has many containers arranged in a row like a sorter. It is particularly effective in preventing noise. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to sorters, but can also be applied to general collectors into which paper-like items are input from an upper opening.
