Therefore, it is necessary to clean the guide roller 4 by some method. However, although a cleaning machine such as that shown in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 57-135564 has been proposed for cleaning the gate roller 3, no proposal has been made for cleaning the guide roller 4.

A cleaning method is provided in which an impregnated part impregnated with a liquid cleaning agent and a cloth-like liquid absorbent are attached to the other surface of the second thin film body attached to the handrail 1, and the guide roller 4 is cleaned while the movable handrail 1 is driven. Proposed. However, a problem arose in that the thin film attached to the moving handrail 1 peeled off. Therefore, we tried using a highly viscous adhesive, but peeling still occurred.

FIG. 1 shows a work flow chart showing the cleaning procedure for the guide rollers. First, a degreasing cleaning step 10 is performed on the surface of the handrail in order to remove the polishing agent such as silicone oil applied to the surface of the handrail. At this time, in order not to have a negative effect on the surface of the moving handrail, use ethyl alcohol and 1.1.2-trichloro-
A solution prepared by mixing 1.2.2-trifluoroethane with a volume ratio of 1:1 was applied by hand spray and wiped off with a dry rag.

A synthetic rubber adhesive 1 is attached to at least a portion of the upper surface of the first thin film body made of this polyester film 15.
Apply 7. Since the polyester film 15 was attached to the moving handrail surface after it had been degreased and cleaned, it did not peel off like in the past.

A polyester film 18 with a width of 80 mm and a length of 2400 mm is attached to the moving handrail 1 using a synthetic rubber adhesive 19 coated on the lower surface. An impregnation section 2 made of a urethane sponge with a thickness of 5 mm is impregnated with a liquid cleaning agent on the upper surface of the polyester film 18.
0 and a towel-shaped liquid absorbent 21 are adhered to form a second thin film body. The impregnated portion 20 of the second thin film body contains about 30 c.c. of a cleaning liquid containing water as the main solvent, a small amount of ethyl alcohol, and sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate as main components. Impregnated part 20 at the beginning of the moving handrail 1 in the driving direction
Then, this second thin film body is attached to the moving handrail 1 so that the liquid absorbent 21 is located.

Through this process, the cleaning liquid in the impregnated portion 20 is applied to the guide roller, and then wiped off by the liquid absorbent 21 to clean the guide roller. The liquid absorbent 21 cannot completely wipe off the cleaning liquid applied to the guide roller. Therefore, after this step 14, step 1
If steps 1 and 12 are carried out, the effect of the sticky substance 17 on the first thin film body will be lost due to the cleaning liquid adhering to the guide roller, so steps 13 and 14 should be carried out after steps 11 and 12. ing.
