ロール群を要する。本発明はこのような従来の問
題点にかんがみてなされたもので、ロール構成が
簡略で、しかも鋼管の接合面の突合せが正確とな
る角形電縫鋼管の製造方法を得ることを目的とす
る。

先端を掴持して引出す引出し装置である。Bは第
3図に示すように回転電極11を備えた抵抗溶接
機である。以上の装置を用いて角形の電縫鋼管を
製造するには、先ずコイル12より引出した帯鋼
13の先端に同帯鋼より巾の狭い帯鋼を接続し、
さらに巾狭の帯鋼の先端に線材を接続して、最初
に線材をパイロツトとして成形装置Aのロール間
に導入して引出し装置10で掴持して同線材を引
出し、次いで巾狭の帯鋼を掴持して引出し、最後
に帯鋼13の先端を掴持して引出す。この帯鋼1
3の引出しによつて、帯鋼は、先ず第2図aに示
すように、曲成ロール部1のロール1a,1b,
1bによつて両側から断面円弧形に曲成され、次
に第2図bに示すように、曲成ロール部2のロー
ル2a,2b,2bによつて、前述円弧形に続く
内側が円弧形に曲成され、さらに第2図cに示す
ように曲成ロール部3のロール3a,3b,3b
によつて中間部に円弧形を与えて、全体として帯
鋼13を大体半円形に成形する。このように曲成
された帯鋼13は第2図dに示すように曲成ロー
ル部4に至つて、ロール4a,4b,4bによつ
て最終形態の角形の上方コーナ部14,14が、
軽くヘの字形に曲成される。次いで、第2図eに
示すように曲成ロール部5に至つて、ロール5
a,5b,5bによつて、角形の下方コーナ部1
5,15が、軽くヘの字形に曲成される。以上a
からeまでに用いられる3個1組のロールは帯鋼
の両面に対して点接触して帯鋼を曲成するもので
あるから、各ローラについては小型であつてよく
精度も高度なものを用いる必要がない。前述第2
図eのように曲成された帯鋼は、スクイズロール
部6に至つて、スクイズロール6a,6b,6
b,6bによつて、コーナ部14,15を除く曲
面が第2図fに示す四辺相当部の曲率半径が大で
コーナ部の曲率半径が小さく、断面がやや角形を
保つた疑似円形で突合せ片が口を開いた形に抱き
絞められる。そして、さらにスクイズロール部7
に至つて、第2図gに示すようにスクイズロール
7a,7a,7b,7bによつて、抱き締められ
て、上のスクイズロール7aの円弧形内面によつ
て突合せ片が管中心側へ押圧されつつ接合面が突
合せ強圧され、第3図に示すように、シーム部1

擬似円形管13aは、第2図hに示すようにスク
イズロール部8に至つて、正方形の抱き締め空間
を作るスクイズロール8a,8a,8b,8bに
よつて、正方形角形鋼管13bに形成されて引出

得られるのであり、擬似円形断面の鋼管にスクイ
ズロールによつて抱き締める場合、スクイズロー
ルの円弧形内面に突合せ片が管中心側へ押圧され
つつ滑つて互の接合面が正確に合つて強圧される
と共に、擬似円形断面以前の曲成においては、各
部を少しずつ円弧状に曲成すればよいので使用ロ
ールは小型で3点接触形のもので足り、従つて曲
成ロールの精度は良好なものでなくともよい利点
を有する。
