Among railway vehicles, especially electric locomotives, a large number of machines and instruments are stored in the machine room inside the car body, and it is no exaggeration to say that all of the locomotives, except for the bogie and driver's cab, are machine rooms. Therefore, in addition to cooling these machine rooms and various machines and equipment,
It is an important issue in the maintenance of rolling stock, etc. to effectively clean and remove dust etc. in the machine room, and to carry out this effectively and efficiently is important for electric locomotives etc. It is extremely important for maintenance and management. Figures 1 and 2 show a conventional ventilation system for an electric locomotive, in which a filter 1 is installed in a plurality of openings formed on both sides of a vehicle, and is either a panel type or an inertial type. It is often used. Two cooling blowers 2 are provided at the front and rear of a machine room provided in the vehicle, and they are used to suck air uniformly into the machine room, and to blow air into the machine room, as well as to control specific control devices 3,
It has the function of cooling these machines and appliances by distributing it through a duct to the main electric motor (not shown) located under the floor. Further, the phase converter 5 and the compressor 6 are also major equipment in the electric locomotive along with the control devices 3 and 4, and are installed between the machine room passages 7 and 7 provided inside both side walls of the car body, respectively. ing. The partition door 8 is arranged between the driver's cabin of a locomotive or the like and the machine room passage 7.

As described above, if the filter 1 is installed only on the side of the machine room, about 70 to 95% of the dust can be collected, and the remaining 30 to 5% of the dust can be collected from machines, instruments, etc. It enters the machine room and scatters throughout the machine room. Therefore, when maintaining and managing electric locomotives, it is necessary to clean the entire locomotive from time to time, and dust may adhere to precision and complicated small electric machines, instruments, control devices, etc., and may also get inside the locomotive. Naturally, this also caused malfunctions in machinery, equipment, etc.

The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the opening area of the filter with a simple configuration without changing the width or length of the vehicle, and to prevent dust, etc. contained in the introduced outside air from scattering into the machine room. We will provide ventilation equipment for electric locomotives.

Embodiments of the present invention will be specifically described below with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. In FIGS. 3 and 4, the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 and 2 indicate the same parts and mechanisms. The vehicle body has driver's cabins A 1 and A 2 at the front and rear in the longitudinal direction, and a machine room B between them. The filters 1 are respectively attached to a plurality of openings provided in the vehicle side wall, and the filters attached to one side of the vehicle side wall are in the driver's cabin.
The filter on the other side is placed closer to the A1 side, and the filter on the other side is in the driver's cab.
It is placed closer to the A2 side. The machine room passage 7 is connected to the front and rear driver's cabins A 1 and A 2 along the vehicle side wall, respectively.
A partition wall 1 is provided in a portion of the machine room passage 7 facing the filter 1.

With the above configuration, the path for going back and forth between the front and rear driver's cabs A 1 and A 2 and the machine room B is configured in a Z-shape. However, when the operation of the cooling blower 2 is stopped, it is possible to pass through the side duct portions C 1 and C 2 through the partition door 9.
Cooling blowers 2 are installed in the side duct portions C 1 and C 2 , respectively.
The air intake port 2K of the cooling blower 2 is opened, and the exhaust port of the cooling blower 2 is opened into the machine room B or connected to a specific machine/equipment via a duct.

In the ventilation device according to the present invention, outside air is sucked through the filter 1 provided in the opening on the side of the vehicle body, and the side duct serves as an intake duct for the cooling blower 12.
It is sucked into the cooling blower 2 through C 1 and C 2 .
Most of the small dirt, dust, etc. is collected by the filter 1 (70-95%), but the remaining 5-30% is collected by the filter 1.
When the dust etc. enters the side duct parts C 1 and C 2 , the speed suddenly decreases, so the speed of the dust etc. decreases suddenly.
It will not fall into C 2 and scatter to any part of machine room B or to the entire electrical machinery, control equipment, etc. Therefore, it is only necessary to clean the dust that has accumulated in the side ducts C 1 and C 2 without being carried to the machine room B or specific equipment.

In addition, since the side duct portions C 1 and C 2 that serve as air chambers are formed using a part of the machine room passage 7,
There is no need to change the arrangement of various devices installed in the machine room B or increase the length and width of the vehicle, and the ventilation system according to the present invention can be obtained by simply adding the partition wall 10.

Furthermore, by allowing most of the dust to fall into the side duct portions C 1 and C 2 ,
It becomes possible to increase the passage speed of outside air through the filter 1, and as a result, the opening area of the filter can be reduced, and dust can be easily removed because it is within a narrow range.

In addition, side duct sections C 1 and C 2 are formed using the machine room passages provided on both sides of the vehicle.
As shown in FIG. 3, even if a part of the machine room passage is blocked by the side duct parts C 1 and C 2 , the remaining part can be used to walk inside the machine room. Therefore,
There is an advantage that even when the cooling blower 2 is in operation, the machine room can be freely accessed from the operator's cab.

As explained above, the ventilation device according to the present invention has
An air chamber independent of the electric locomotive's machine room is formed using the machine room passage provided on both sides of the vehicle, and the cooling blower intake port is opened in this air chamber to provide ventilation. The opening area of the filter can be reduced without changing the length or width, and introduced dust can be prevented from being scattered into the machine room.
