However, in such a piping connection device, the piping b protruding from the heat exchanger a is individually fixed to the piping mounting plate d via the fastening fittings e, so the width and depth of the piping mounting plate d are It has the disadvantage that it becomes wider and occupies a larger area.

Furthermore, since the pipe b is vertically fixed to the pipe mounting plate d, the dead space above the pipe mounting plate d becomes large. In order to reduce this dead space, it is conceivable to move the height of the pipe mounting plate d in the vertical direction, but considering the change in pipe diameter due to bending of the pipe b, it is not possible to install it at a high position.
Considering the change in pipe diameter due to bending of the connecting pipe (not shown) from the outdoor unit (not shown), it cannot be installed at a low position. Also, the height of the indoor unit
Since the mounting position is limited, it cannot be made high. In this way, in conventional equipment, the width and depth of the pipe mounting plate d become longer and the area it occupies becomes larger, resulting in a larger dead space. There are drawbacks that cannot be addressed.

Therefore, the present invention provides an integrated connecting fitting having an inflow refrigerant path and an outflow refrigerant path on the back side of the frame body, and connects two pipes protruding from the heat exchanger to each refrigerant path of this connecting fitting. Therefore, the present invention provides a device that reduces the space occupied by the connecting portion and allows the indoor unit to be made thinner.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a metal frame body constituting an indoor unit (not shown) of a separate air conditioner, a heat exchanger 2 constituting a well-known refrigeration cycle, and piping 3 of this heat exchanger 2. A connecting fitting 4 for connecting the connecting fittings 4 and screw holes 6 for screws 5 for fixing the connecting fittings 4 are respectively provided.
Here, the screw hole 6 is provided on the back surface of the frame body 1. Reference numeral 7 designates a notch formed on the back surface of the frame body 1 for drawing out piping.

In the figure, the connecting fitting 4 is integrally equipped with a block-shaped inflow part 4a and an outflow part 4b made of metal, and has passages 8a and 8b extending perpendicularly to adjacent surfaces, and has passages 8a and 8b at one end thereof. has a well-known structure, and is provided with connectors 9, 9 for piping (not shown) for connecting to an outdoor unit (not shown), and the other end 10, 10 is open so as to be connected to the piping 3. are doing. Here, the block-shaped inflow section 4a and outflow section 4b are connected to the other end 10 of each passage 8,
The surfaces of the other ends 10, 10 are staggered so that they are in different stages so that the pipes 10 can be connected to the piping 3. Reference numerals 11 and 11 indicate through holes through which the screws 5 pass.

Therefore, by making the pipe connecting fitting 4 into a block shape and attaching it directly to the back of the frame body 1, the conventional pipe mounting plate d is not required, and the depth dimension of the pipe connecting portion can be reduced. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, by connecting the piping 3 horizontally to the pipe connecting fitting 4, the direction of extension of the piping 3 extending from the heat exchanger 2 does not change by 90 degrees.
It is possible to reduce the dead space above the connection part that is created by bending the pipe as in the past. In this way, since the space occupied by the connecting portion can be reduced and the depth dimension can be reduced, a thinner indoor unit can be obtained. Furthermore, by integrating the connecting fittings 4, the number of parts is reduced and efficiency during assembly work is improved, and the heat exchanger 2 can be more easily removed from the frame body 1, improving serviceability.

As is clear from the above embodiments, the air conditioner piping connection device according to the present invention has connection ports 10 provided on the same side surfaces of each of the integrated inflow section 4a and outflow section 4b, and the mutual connection ports 10 The positional relationship is formed by providing a step in two directions, the connection direction and the direction perpendicular to the connection direction, and the connection tool 9 is connected to the connection port 10.
(1) Since the inflow part 4a and the outflow part 4b are integrated and concentrated, the structure required for connection becomes small.

(2) Each connection 10 is connected in the connection direction and in the direction perpendicular to it
Since there is a step in the direction, work space is secured at each connection point. (If there is no step, the operating range of tools etc. will be restricted by the connection part of one pipe.) (3) Since the fitting 9 extends in a direction of 90 degrees with respect to the connection port 10, Connection work is also facilitated.

等、種々の利点を有するものである。It has various advantages such as.
