に多数配設し、更に該搬送コンベアベルト上に上
記リテーナーの上面開放部を押圧できるマイクロ
波透過性で耐熱性の押えベルトを別に設け、上記
リテーナー中に真空包装された食品包装体を収容
し、上記搬送コンベアベルトと押えベルトでリテ
ーナーの上下を挟持してマイクロ波加熱域を常圧
下で通過させることにより真空包装食品を連続殺

設されたリテーナー1の中に食品の真空包装体3
が次々と収容され、このリテーナーの上面を押圧
できる別のマイクロ波透過性プラスチツク性のエ
ンドレス押えベルト4でリテーナー1を上下面で
押圧挾持しつつマイクロ波加熱域5を通過し、次
いで空冷または水冷の冷却域6を通つてデリバリ
ーベルト7に食品包装体3を移して、本冷却部に
送ることにより常圧でマイクロ波連続殺菌するも
のである。搬送ベルト2はメツシユベルトを用い
ると冷却が速く、また冷水シヤワーをくぐらせる
と冷却は更に一層能率的で包装体の内圧を押える
ことができる。ベルトが板ベルトの場合にはリテ
ーナーに孔を設けてエアーを放出することにより
生じた圧を低下させることができる。この密封型
になるリテーナーを押え込んで挾持するのに必要
以上の力が必要である。内圧膨脹による上下方向
への力を押え込むには3Kg/cm2の力が必要であ
り、これをコンベアーにもたすためにはベルトを
強く張るか、ベルトを第3図の説明図のように強
く張る他にテフロンの厚い板8で補強することが
好ましい。また第4図の説明図のようにベルトを
小さなテフロン製のローラー9を繋いだものを置
いた状態とする。テフロン製のものを使用するの
はマイクロ波を透過し、摩擦係数が小さい、耐熱
性がよい、耐摩耗性がよい等の理由による。ベル
ト2にはテフロンまたはテフロンコートしたもの

たときにも温度上昇により破袋されるのが防止さ
れ、常圧で包装食品の殺菌がマイクロ波により極
めて能率よく、しかもマイクロ波では125℃の品
温で2分の処理で殺菌でき、コンベアベルトシス
テムでマイクロ波加熱域を短時間に通過させるの
みで殺菌は充分で食品包装体の破袋現象は全く起

数配設し、該リテーナー内に耐熱フイルム袋にて
真空包装された食品包装体に収容し、上記リテー
ナー上面に密着できる耐熱性でマイクロ波透過性
の押えベルトで、リテーナーを下方に押圧する状
態としてリテーナーの上下を前記搬送コンベアベ
ルトと押えベルト間で挟持しつつ常圧下でマイク
ロ波加熱域を通過させることにより包装食品を連
続的に殺菌することを特徴とするマイクロ波殺菌
