Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、じゆうたん巾継ぎとして施工される
じゆうたん巾継ぎ工法及びその工法の実施に直接
用いるじゆうたん巾継ぎ用接着テープに関するも
のである。
(従来の技術) 近年事務所や個人住宅の居間などの広い屋内で
は、壁から壁までじゆうたんが敷き詰められるこ
とが多く、じゆうたんの巾が足りない場合には巾
継ぎがされている。従来、じゆうたんの巾継ぎは
縫い合せや貼り合せなどで行なわれていたが、こ
れらの方法は作業者の熟練を要し、施工時間も長
くなるという問題があつた。このため、作業を容
易にするため接着テープを用いてじゆうたんの巾
継ぎをすることも広く行なわれている。とくに、
巾継ぎをするじゆうたん両端縁部の位置決めを容
易にするため、熱硬化性接着剤や熱可塑性接着剤
などの感熱性接着剤を塗布した接着テープをじゆ
うたん巾継ぎ部分に裏打ちした後、アイロン等を
用いて加熱処理する方法も行なわれている。しか
しながら従来のアイロンを用いる加熱処理はじゆ
うたん巾継ぎ部に高温のアイロンが接触するの
で、じゆうたんがアイロンの熱のために傷みやす
かつた。とくに熱に弱いアルカリ製じゆうたんな
どでは顕著であつた。この場合、じゆうたん全体
を裏返して巾継ぎ部分に裏打ちした接着テープを
裏面より加熱処理したり、予じめ位置決めした巾
継ぎ部の両端縁をめくり上げ、その下に配した接
着テープのみを加熱処理しつつ接着するが、いず
れにしてもアイロンがじゆうたんに接触しないよ
うに細心の注意を払う必要があるだけでなく、作
業性も悪かつた。
このような問題を解決するため、感熱性接着剤
中に導電性発熱線条を組み込んだ接着テープも考
えられており、とくに発熱量を一定にするための
接着テープも特公昭52−3422号に提案されてい
る。しかし、この導電性発熱体を用いるじゆうた
ん巾継ぎ工法は特殊施工装置などの大がかりな装
置を必要としたり、接着テープ自体もその構造が
複雑になつて高価になるという不都合があつた。
一方じゆうたんの巾継ぎを行う場合、切断したじ
ゆうたんの縁がほつれやすくなり、巾継ぎした後
もこの縁からほつれることがあるという問題もあ
つた。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) 本発明は以上のような事情に鑑みなされたもの
であり、従来工法にあつた問題点、すなわち熱可
塑性接着剤を用いたじゆうたんの巾継ぎの際に加
熱処理によりじゆうたんが傷むという問題点、そ
の施工法の作業性が悪くなつたり、特殊施工具な
ど大がかりな装置が必要となるという問題点、さ
らにこれら特殊施工具や高価な接着テープ等を用
いるため巾継ぎ費用が高額になるという問題点を
解決するものであり、じゆうたんを傷めることが
なく作業性にも優れ安価に行なえるじゆうたん巾
継ぎ工法を提供することを第1の目的とする。ま
た本発明はこの工法に用いられる安価で製造容易
であつてじゆうたんの縁のほつれも防止できる接
着テープを提供することを第2の目的とする。
(問題点を解決するための手段) 本発明は以上のような問題点を解決するため、
熱可塑性接着剤と高周波誘導発熱体とで接着層を
形成して、じゆうたん巾継ぎ部の表面側から高周
波誘導加熱するようにしたものである。
すなわち本発明は第1の目的を達成するため、
2枚のじゆうたん端縁部をつき合せ、このつき合
せ部の裏面に熱可塑性接着剤と高周波誘導発熱体
とを含む接着層及び基材からなるテープを、その
接着層がじゆうたん裏面側に位置するように配
し、前記つき合せ部の表面側より前記接着層を高
周波誘導加熱するようにじゆうたん巾継ぎ工法を
構成した。
さらに第2の目的を達成するため、じゆうたん
巾継ぎ用接着テープを、基材と、この基材の片面
を被覆する熱可塑性接着剤及び高周波誘導発熱体
を含みその長手方向の略中心線上にじゆうたん両
端縁間に入り込むように突出する凸条が形成され
ている接着層とを備えるように構成した。
(実施例) 以下図面に示す実施例により、本発明を詳細に
説明する。
まず第1〜3図に基づき本発明の方法を説明す
る。
第1図は本発明のじゆうたん巾継ぎ工法に用い
るじゆうたん巾継ぎ用接着テープの一例を示す部
分断面斜視図、第2図はその分解断面図、第3図
は施工概念図である。
符号1は織布、不織布、紙、プラスチツクシー
トまたはガラス繊維織物などからなる基材であ
り、巾継ぎされるじゆうたん両端縁間にかかる張
力に耐えるに十分な強度を有するものであればよ
い。
基材1上には導電性金属箔膜からなる高周波誘
導発熱体21が接続され、この高周波誘導発熱体
21はこの上面に塗布された熱可塑性接着剤22
とともに接着層20を形成している。
本実施例によるじゆうたんの巾継ぎは以下のよ
うに行なう。第2図に示すように基材1及び接着
層20からなる接着テープをじゆうたん3の両端
縁間に配し、じゆうたん表面側より交番磁界を発
生する高周波誘導加熱装置4を作動させ接着層2
0内の熱可塑性接着剤22を溶融し、じゆうたん
3下面の基布に溶着させる。次に高周波誘導加熱
装置を移動除去すれば融けていた熱可塑性接着剤
22は冷却、固化してじゆうたん両端縁3,3は
接着層20および基材1を介して固定される。こ
のように本発明は、それ自体は発熱しない高周波
誘導加熱装置を用いるので、第3図に示すように
床5上で連続的にじゆうたんの巾継ぎが容易に、
かつじゆうたんを傷めることなく行える。
本発明に用いる熱可塑性接着剤は従来技術によ
るものが用いられるが、じゆうたんを傷めないた
めには200℃以下で融けるものが好ましい。とく
にアクリル製じゆうたんの巾継ぎでは90〜120℃
で融けるものが好ましい。
高周波誘導発熱体としての導電性金属箔膜は、
高周波誘導加熱装置の発生する交番磁界中で渦電
流損やヒステリシス損によつて発熱する材質であ
ればよく、鉄、コバルト、ニツケル、アルミニウ
ム、ステンレス製の金属箔膜を用いることができ
る。
第4図はこの方法の実施に直接使用するじゆう
たん巾継ぎ用接着テープの断面を拡大した斜視図
である。この実施例ではじゆうたん3,3の両端
縁間3aに入り込むように突出する凸条20aが
熱可塑性接着剤22に形成されている。このテー
プによればじゆうたん両端縁同士も凸条20aを
介して接着されるので、施工後巾継ぎ部からパイ
ルが抜けることもなくなり、予めほつれ止めを行
なう必要がない。さらに接着テープの中心線上に
凸条を設けるので、じゆうたん両端縁部の位置決
めが容易になるという効果もある。この凸条20
aは必らずしも連続している必要はなく、不連続
でもよいのは勿論である。
本発明におけるテープは接着層20を高周波誘
導発熱体としての導電性粉体と熱可塑性接着剤と
の混合物で形成してもよい。この場合鉄、コバル
ト、ニツケル、アルミニウム、ステンレス等の導
電性金属やグラフアイトなどの導電性材料の粉体
を熱可塑性接着剤に混合し、基材に塗布すること
ができ、接着テープの製造がより容易になる。な
お導電性粉体の形状はとくに限定されないが、偏
平状のものを用いれば高周波加熱の時間を短縮で
きる(特公昭48−14171号参照)。また熱可塑性接
着剤の過熱を防止するため、特公昭48−16971号
記載のウツドメタル、硫酸アンモニウム又は硫化
鉄などの吸熱用粒子を導電性粉体とともに熱可塑
性接着剤に混合して接着層を形成してもよい。
第5,6図は、じゆうたん巾継ぎ用接着テープ
の他の実施例を示す部分断面斜視図である。
第5図の実施例では接着層20がパンチングメ
タルからなる高周波誘導発熱体21と熱可塑性接
着剤22とで形成されているので、高周波誘導加
熱により溶融する熱可塑性接着剤がパンチングメ
タルの孔を通して基材1にも達する。このためじ
ゆうたん巾継ぎ部分の引張り強度が増すという効
果がある。
第6図の実施例は、補強用のガラス繊維6を基
材1上に配したものである。ガラス繊維6は基材
1の上面、下面どちらに配してもよいが、接着層
20A塗布の際その間に挿み込めば接着テープの
製造がより容易になる。なお本実施例では連続す
るガラス繊維を用いたが、接着テープの巾の長さ
のガラス繊維を多数張り渡してもよいのは勿論で
ある。
(発明の効果) 以上のように本発明は、2枚のじゆうたん端縁
部をつき合せ、このつき合せ部の裏面に熱可塑性
接着剤と高周波誘導発熱体とを含む接着層および
基材からなるテープを配し、表面側より接着層を
高周波誘導加熱するので、じゆうたんを傷めるこ
となく、簡便な作業で安価にじゆうたんの巾継ぎ
ができるという効果がある。
さらにこの工法の実施に直接用いるじゆうたん
巾継ぎ用接着テープを、基材と、その片面を被覆
する熱可塑性接着剤及び高周波誘導発熱体を含み
その長手方向の略中心線上にじゆうたん両端縁間
に入り込むように突出する凸条が形成されている
接着層とを備えるようにしたので安価かつ容易に
製造することができ、また施工後のじゆうたん巾
継ぎ部のほつれを防止できる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 2枚のじゆうたん端縁部のつき合せ部の裏面
    に、熱可塑性接着剤と高周波誘導発熱体とを含む
    接着層及び基材からなるテープを、その接着層が
    じゆうたん裏面側に位置するように配し、前記つ
    き合せ部の表面側より前記接着層を高周波誘導加
    熱することを特徴とするじゆうたん巾継ぎ工法。 2 基材と、この基材の片面を被覆する熱可塑性
    接着剤および高周波誘導発熱体を含みその長手方
    向の略中心線上にじゆうたん両端縁間に入り込む
    ように突出する凸条が形成されている接着層とを
    備えることを特徴とするじゆうたん巾継ぎ用接着
    テープ。 3 前記接着層は、基材に接着された導電性金属
    箔膜からなる高周波誘導発熱体と、この高周波誘
    導発熱体に塗布された熱可塑性接着剤とで形成さ
    れていることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第2項
