DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for hermetically packaging an article backed with border paper with a heat-shrinkable film.
To realize a packaging in which a border paper portion protruding to the outside of the end face of a packaged article can be made into a sealed package with a beautiful appearance, and a hanging hole can be made in the border paper for hanging and displaying the product. The purpose is to

In a shrink-seal packaging method with a border paper, in which product instructions, etc. are displayed on a border paper and the product is packaged with the border paper protruding from the end surface of the product, the conventional method has the following drawbacks. Figures 1 to 5 show articles shrink-wrapped by the conventional method, and as shown in Figures 1 and 2, due to the shrinkage of the packaging film 2, the border paper 1 is stretched toward the article and curved. However, the appearance of the packaging on the top surface of the border paper 1 is damaged, and at the same time, the markings on the border paper become difficult to read.Furthermore, when the hanging holes for hanging display are opened, the thin package separates from the border paper 1 and is in a state of tension. The film 2 began to tear from the periphery of the hanging hole, so it was impossible to open the hanging hole.

Generally, if items are displayed by hanging, the display space in the store can be used effectively and the items can be displayed in an orderly manner, so when hanging holes are required, the following method has been adopted.

In other words, in order to provide hanging holes in the border paper, the third
As shown in FIG. 4, this is a method in which the edge of the packaging film 2 is shrink-processed in an unsealed state, and the edge paper 1 and the end surface 4a of the article are left exposed. If this method is used to package the product, the film becomes wavy due to insufficient tension near the opening edge of the packaging film 2 near the end face 4a of the product, impairing the packaging appearance, and moreover, the exposed part of the end face 4a of the product is easily soiled, reducing the product value. The product shown in FIG. 5 is a product in which a backing paper 5 with hanging holes 3 is attached to the back side of the product using adhesive tape or the like after the product is sealed and shrink-wrapped without border paper. In this case, the cost increases due to the increase in the number of packaging steps.

The present invention is a shrink-tight packaging method newly developed to solve the above-mentioned problem, in which the front and back sides of the article and the border paper are covered with a packaging film and sealed, and then the border paper is folded upward and the top and bottom are sealed. Stack the packaging film twice, and sandwich the part of the packaging film that extends from the end surface of the article to the border paper between the upper and lower double border papers in such a way that it enters from the inner edge of the upper border paper. By catching the inner edge on the edge of the back of the article and shrinking it by heat shrinking in this state, the packaging film can be wrapped without bending the edge paper or opening the upper edge paper upward. It is characterized by being brought into close contact with the upper surface of the border paper and the end surface of the article.

As shown in FIG. 6, a backing paper 5 is placed on the back side 4b of the article 4 between one side 2a that has been sealed in the previous step and the packaging film 2 that has been unsealed on two sides except for one side 2b that is folded in two and continues. , insert the border paper 1 with it protruding outside the end surface 4a of the article, and then open the unsealed part with L.
By sealingly cutting with the mold seal bar 6, the seventh
As shown in the figure, it is covered and sealed with a packaging film 2 from the front and back. At this time, the length of the packaging film 2 is made longer than the total length of the article 4 and the border paper 1, and the packaging film 2 is cut so that the sealing side 2c is slightly outward from the edge 1a of the border paper 1.

Next, the border paper 1 is folded upward at the fold line 8 on the outside of the end surface 4a of the article 4 and stacked vertically, and the packaging film portion 2 extending from the end surface 4a of the product to the edge 1a of the border paper 1 is folded upward and downward. It is sandwiched between the double border papers 1 in such a way that it enters from the inner edge side of the upper border paper 1, and the inner edge 1b of the upper border paper 1 is received by the edge of the back surface 4b of the article 4, and then opened. (See Figure 8). This is sent into the heating tunnel of the heat shrink treatment device 7 and passed through a heated atmosphere of about 140° to 160°C for about 5 to 10 seconds to heat shrink the packaging film 2 and shrink it. and in close contact with the surface of the border paper 1, and the end surface 4a of the article 4
A part of the packaging film 2 covering the and border paper 1 is brought into close contact along the end surface 4a of the article 4 from the inner edge of the upper border paper 1, and also along the upper surface of the upper border paper 1.

That is, as shown in FIG. 10, the packaging film 2 extends from the upper edge of the end surface 4a of the article 4 to the edge 1a of the border paper 1, as shown by the dotted line, on the end surface 4a of the article 4 and the upper surface of the border paper 1. Item 4 along with a part of it

is folded upward, and the inner edge 1b of the border paper 1 (near the edge 1a of the border paper 1) is received by the end of the back surface 4b of the article 4 to prevent it from opening.
When sealing and cutting the packaging film 2, the sealing edge 2c is cut by extending outward from the edge 1a of the border paper 1 by a distance l as shown in FIG. This is to prevent the sealing edge 2c from appearing on the upper surface of the border paper 1 outside the end surface 4a of the article 4 even after the shrinkage treatment, thereby making the package appearance beautiful. In addition, as shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, the edge 1 of the border paper 1
While folding or folding the outer packaging film 2 from the edge 1a onto the inner edge paper 1, fold the edge paper 1 upward at the folding line 8 of the edge paper 1 and stack it vertically, and then Inner edge 1b of edge paper 1
is received at the end of the back surface 4b of the article 4 to prevent the upper border paper 1 from opening.

In addition, the equipment used for the above sealed packaging method is
As shown in the figure, an L-shaped seal bar 6 is disposed on the upstream side of the end of the product packaging process, a heat shrinkage treatment device 7 is disposed on the downstream side, and a bi-fold packaging film 9 wound into a roll is placed in an L-shaped seal bar 6. It is placed near the sealing bar 6, and the articles sent by the conveyor 10 are manually inserted into the packaging film 2, and then the L-shaped sealing bar 6 seals and cuts, and the border paper 1 is doubled. After folding back and sandwiching the packaging film 2 to wrap it as shown in FIG. 8, it is passed through the heat shrink tunnel of the heat shrink treatment device 7 on a conveyor.

The wrapping film on the edge of the article is firmly restrained by the inner edge of the edge paper along the edge of the article, and the wrapping film is heat-shrinked along the outer surface of the edge paper so that the edge of the article and the edge of the edge paper are tightly restrained. Since it is in close contact with the outer surface, the border paper maintains its flatness without curving.
As a result, the packaging appearance of the top surface of the border paper and the end surface of the article becomes well-shaped and clean, and at the same time, the instructions displayed on the top surface of the border paper become easy to read, and the commercial value of the product is significantly improved.

In addition, the border paper is folded back and stacked on top and bottom, and the inner edge of the upper border paper is received at the edge of the back of the item, so when transporting, etc. The inner edge of the edge paper acts as a damper, making it resistant to rough handling and vibration, and
Even if the border paper is curved, the contact portion between the border paper and the corner of the back of the article is strong and will not bend at this portion, improving durability.
