Traditionally, to make tea, raw tea leaves are steamed and then put through a coarse rolling machine. This rough rolling machine blows hot air into the machine and sweeps the tea leaves, twisting them between hands until the moisture content reaches about 50%. Next, the tea leaves crushed in the rough rolling machine are passed through a rolling machine. This kneading machine uses force to knead the dough to evenly distribute the moisture. The tea leaves processed in this rolling machine are then passed through a medium rolling machine to remove moisture and dry them by about 80%. This medium kneading machine is equipped with a hand that rotates faster than the rotation of the medium kneading machine main body in a cylindrical form with its axis arranged horizontally. Hot air is sent through the outlet at the other end, which is covered with a wire mesh of approximately 1.5 mm 2 and has eyes large enough to prevent tea leaves from popping out, thereby drying the tea leaves. Next, the tea leaves processed in the medium rolling machine are passed through a fine rolling machine and dryer to be processed into Sencha or Aracha Sencha.

However, such conventional tea manufacturing methods have the disadvantage that tea leaves tend to become stuffy during processing in a medium rolling machine. In other words, the tea leaves processed by the medium rolling machine contain a lot of moisture, and the medium rolling machine blows hot air into the interior through the opening of the medium rolling machine body and discharges it from the outlet, but the wire mesh at the outlet is This is because if the size is set so that it is easy to discharge, tea buds and the like will pop out, and if it is made small, the tea leaves will stick to the wire mesh, making it difficult for hot air to be discharged, and the hot air will tend to get trapped inside the medium rolling machine.

In view of the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, the present invention provides a tea manufacturing method that can reliably prevent tea leaves from becoming stuffy during the rolling process, shorten the processing time, and produce high-quality tea. The purpose is to obtain a medium rolling machine for use in this tea manufacturing method.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, step 1 is a step of steaming raw tea leaves, and step 1 of steaming the tea leaves is performed in the same manner as in the conventional method. Step 2 is a coarse rolling process in which the steamed tea leaves are twisted into a coarse rolling machine 3 and the tea leaves are twisted using a sieve 5 and a twister 6 while blowing hot air 4 into the coarse rolling machine 3 until the moisture content of the tea leaves reaches approximately 50%. This is the rolling process. 7 is a rolling process in which the tea leaves twisted in the rough rolling process 2 are applied force with a rolling machine 8 to evenly distribute the moisture content. The tea leaves containing the tea leaves are rubbed vigorously to even out the moisture content. 9 is a medium rolling machine 10 for the tea leaves that have undergone this rolling process 7.
In the process of drying the tea leaves to a moisture content of approximately 20% using Hot air flows into the medium kneading machine main body 12, which is installed so as to communicate with an approximately semi-cylindrical medium kneading machine main body 12 having an opening 11, and an opening 13 opened over approximately the entire length of the back surface of the medium kneading machine main body 12. a duct 14 that forcibly blows air; a shaft 15 that is supported approximately at the center of both side walls 12a, 12a of the medium-rolling machine main body 12 and driven by a motor (not shown); and a shaft 15 that is driven by a motor (not shown) or the like; A plurality of sets of stripping hands 16 and twisting hands 17 are arranged on the outer periphery of the shaft 15 formed in a rectangular prism shape and are arranged at an angle of about 90 degrees in the axial direction, and are attached to the outer periphery of the shaft 15 located inside the center-rolling machine body 12.
It consists of a large eye that can be opened and closed in the upper opening of the lid, and an opening and closing lid 18 made of wire mesh of approximately 7.5 mm 2 .
The opening/closing lid 18 is opened, the tea leaves that have undergone the rolling process 7 are put into the medium rolling machine main body 12, and the opening/closing lid 18 is closed. Next, the shaft 15 is driven to rotate, and hot air is blown from the duct 14 into the medium kneading machine main body 12.
As a result, the tea leaves are stirred by the wiping hand 16, and the tea leaves are stretched by the kneading action between the twirling hand 17 and the inner wall surface of the medium rolling machine main body 12. At this time, hot air is blown onto the tea leaves, and the blown hot air is efficiently discharged to the outside through the wire mesh at the top opening. Therefore, the medium rolling step 9 can be performed without causing any stuffiness in the tea leaves. 19 is a fine rolling process in which the tea leaves that have passed through the medium rolling process 9 are put through a fine rolling machine to make the tea leaves thin and long. 20 is a drying process in which the tea that has gone through the rolling process 19 is dried to produce rough tea sencha.

After rolling the tea leaves, which contain stems, leaves, and buds with different moisture contents, to make the moisture content uniform, the rolling process is carried out so that hot air can be discharged without being trapped inside the center rolling machine. As a result, the quality can be improved without causing hot air to become trapped inside the medium-milling machine, which deteriorates the color of the tea or causes the taste and aroma to become stuffy and aromatic.
