BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, a method of painting ceramics using a transfer material on which a pattern is formed by printing means is particularly suitable for mass production and has been widely adopted. Specifically, the method of painting using a transfer material is to apply glaze to the unglazed ceramic surface and heat it to approximately 1300℃.
After firing, the design is transferred and then heated to approximately 800℃ to 1200℃.
So-called overglaze transfer method, in which the design is transferred to unglazed ceramics, fired at approximately 500℃ to 700℃, and then coated with glaze, and fired at approximately 1300℃, So-called underglaze transfer method, unglazed ceramic surface After applying a mixture of glaze and resin and transferring the design onto it, approximately 1300
This is the so-called glaze transfer method in which the material is fired at ℃. As the transfer material and transfer method used in such a painting method, there is, for example, a slide transfer method using a slide transfer material. This is a method in which the transfer material is swollen in water, the pattern layer is slid, and it is attached to the surface of the utensil by means such as hand-applying, but since most of the work is done by hand, it is not suitable for mass production, and it is not suitable for mass production. This method had the disadvantage that it could not be transferred because the surface of the utensil was in a state where it easily absorbed moisture.

Another method is a method filed by the present applicant (Japanese Patent Application No. 103653/1983). This method uses a transfer material whose constituent elements are a wax layer and a pattern layer made of heat-sensitive adhesive ink. This is a method in which the pattern layer is transferred onto a ceramic surface that has been transferred to a transfer pad. Although this method can be applied to any of the above methods, it is time-consuming because it requires preheating the ceramic to a constant temperature during transfer.

The present inventor has completed the present invention as a result of various studies and studies in view of the drawbacks of the conventional methods as described above. That is, the present invention provides the base sheet 1
A thermoplastic material layer 2 is formed on top of the thermoplastic material layer 2, which is not sticky at room temperature but becomes sticky when heated, maintains that stickiness for a certain period of time, and is thermally decomposed by firing. Preheating the ceramic painting transfer material on which the pattern layer 3 made of decorative ink has been formed to a temperature at which the thermoplastic material layer 2 becomes sticky, and bringing the transfer pad 4 and the pattern layer 3 of the transfer material into pressure contact. The pattern layer 3 and the thermoplastic material layer 2 are transferred to the surface of the transfer pad 4, and then the surface of the ceramic 5 and the surface of the transfer pad 4 are brought into pressure contact, and the pattern layer 3 and the thermoplastic material layer 2 are transferred to the surface of the ceramic 5. This method of painting ceramics is characterized in that the thermoplastic material layer 2 is transferred and then fired to decompose the thermoplastic material layer 2 and remove the remaining material.

The thermoplastic material layer 2 does not have tackiness at room temperature, but becomes tacky when heated, maintains its tackiness for a certain period of time, and is thermally decomposed by firing. The thermoplastic material layer 2 having such properties is mainly a waxy mixture of synthetic alloy wax, oxidized modified wax, paraffin wax, animal and vegetable wax, mineral oil, animal and vegetable oil, thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin, ethylene copolymer, etc. or thermoplastic latexes, styrene-butadiene latex, nitrile-butadiene rubber latex,
Alkyd emulsion, acrylic ester copolymer emulsion, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion, acrylic emulsion, vinyl chloride copolymer emulsion, copolymer emulsion of other thermoplastic resins, hydrocarbon resin and rosin emulsion, etc. Or it can be formed using a mixture. Further, the thermoplastic material layer 2 is formed by coating the above-mentioned materials on the base sheet 1 in a conventional manner, but two types having different softening points and melting points are suitably selected from the above-mentioned material group. A composition consisting of two layers may be obtained by preparing a mixture of and applying each of the two.
In this case, the steps of peeling off and adhering the thermoplastic layer 2 during transfer, which will be described later, are carried out relatively smoothly.

First, the transfer material described above is heated. Heating is carried out at a temperature such that the thermoplastic layer 2 becomes tacky. When using the above substances, the temperature is 80℃~200℃.
It is best to heat in the temperature range of ℃. Although the heating means may be selected as appropriate, it is preferable to use the heating plate 6 because it allows the next step of pressure contact using the transfer pad 4 to proceed immediately (see FIG. 2).

After heating the transfer material, the transfer pad 4 and the pattern layer 3 of the transfer material are brought into pressure contact. By this pressure contact, most of the pattern layer 3 and thermoplastic layer 2 are transferred to the surface of the transfer pad 4 (see FIG. 3). still,
As the material for the transfer pad 4, an elastic body such as silicone rubber is used.
