Conventional static eliminators of this type use a static elimination lamp, but the static elimination is performed by irradiating light from the exposure lamp onto the photoreceptor using an optical path different from that for image exposure, resulting in a complex structure and high production costs. It was also becoming more expensive.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to change the optical path between the projected image of the original and the image forming means that forms the image on the photoreceptor when the original is not exposed and projected. This method was necessary for conventional charge removal by blocking the light with a reflector and irradiating the surface of the photoreceptor with the light reflected by the reflector to remove unnecessary charges before and after image formation on the photoreceptor. The purpose is to simplify the configuration by eliminating the AC corotron, static elimination lamp, etc., and to reduce the manufacturing cost.

以下、本発明を図面を参照して説明する。 Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings.

Thus, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is charged by the charging device 2, and by the projected light from the document 10 irradiated by the exposure device 3, the surface of the photoconductor 1 is charged with a charge by the charging device 2, and by the projection light from the document 10 irradiated by the exposure device 3, the surface of the photoconductor 1 is charged, and the portions of the document 10 other than those corresponding to the information portions such as characters and figures are removed. Electric charge is erased. Thereafter, the positively charged toner charged by the developing device 4 to which a bias voltage is applied is adsorbed and developed on a portion (image portion) corresponding to the information portion.

During exposure, as shown in Figure 2, the reflector 1
4 is located away from the slit portion 13, and immediately after the document table 7 moves in the direction shown by the arrow in FIG. The reflecting plate 14 is moved to the left by interfering with the protruding portion 15 of the reflecting plate 14, and the slit portion 13 is closed with the reflecting plate 14 (see FIG. 3).

Therefore, the light from the exposure lamps 9, 9' hits the reflecting plate 14, is reflected, and irradiates the surface of the photoreceptor 1 through the convergent light transmitter 11, thereby eliminating static electricity (see FIG. 4).

As described in detail above, the present invention blocks the optical path between the projected image of the original 10 and the imaging means for forming an image on the photoreceptor 1 with the reflecting plate 14 when the original is not being exposed and projected. By irradiating the surface of the photoreceptor 1 with the light reflected by the photoreceptor 1, unnecessary charges before and after image formation on the photoreceptor 1 can be removed.

Moreover, the movement of the reflecting plate 14 is
This is done by engaging the protrusions 15 provided on the document table 7 with the protrusions 16 and 17 provided on the document table 7 that moves back and forth, so that the reflection plate 14 is connected to the document table 7 and the imaging means when exposing and projecting the document. It also has the advantage of ensuring reliable operation without blocking the optical path between the two.
