2 is a deformable conductive member (pole pole) located in the recess 12, and is made of, for example, lead or lead alloy, and has a pole plate at its lower end. 3 is connected. Reference numeral 4 denotes a terminal member constructed of a pull-out rivet, which is inserted into the hollow portion 21 of the conductive member 2 through a hole 11 provided in the recess 12 of the battery case lid 1.

When the rivet is pulled up, the conical head 42 at the end of the shaft passes through the hollow part of the rivet, causing the rivet to expand and the conductive member 2 to expand accordingly. . As a result, the elastic ring 5 disposed in the gap between the inner wall 13 of the recess of the battery container lid 1 and the conductive member 2 is compressed, and a liquid seal is formed between the two, and the compression of the elastic ring 5 causes a The impregnated sealant fills the minute gap between the two, and is cured by subsequent heat treatment to form a sealing layer 6, resulting in a more reliable liquid seal.

Since it seals even minute gaps with a sealing agent impregnated in advance, it is possible to form an extremely reliable liquid seal, and its industrial value is extremely large.
