DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a printing method for forming an additional image on a predetermined portion of a printed matter on which a printed image has already been formed.

For example, printing a weekly magazine requires work within a particularly limited time, and in this situation, the originally planned articles were changed and hot topics were featured as feature articles. There are times when an urgent request is made to include a feature title on the cover of a weekly magazine that introduces the content of the feature article. In such cases, it may sometimes become impossible to print a special feature title incorporated into a portion of the cover due to constraints such as the timing of manuscript submission and the start of plate-making work.

If additional images such as feature titles that introduce feature articles can be printed directly onto the cover of a weekly magazine that has been printed or printed and bound, it will be possible to meet the above-mentioned urgent request and make the deadline for feature articles in the main text much faster than before. It is expected that this will be extended.

However, when printing an additional image (feature title) on the cover of a weekly magazine that has been printed or printed and bound using regular printing ink, crystallization and after-tack of pre-printed ink images, Furthermore, due to poor ink drying, poor ink transfer and set-off to other covers may occur, leading to concerns that the weekly magazine that has already been produced will not be able to be sold as a product. In particular, it is extremely difficult to print additional images on the cover of a weekly magazine that has been bound.

Already, the present invention provides a solid printing area using one of the two-component color-forming inks on the image forming area and/or the margin area of the printed material during or before or after producing the printed material on which a desired image is formed. This is a printing method characterized by forming and coloring an additional image on the solid printing area using the other ink of the two-component coloring type ink.

以下、本発明を一実施例を参照に説明する。 Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained with reference to one embodiment.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the structure of the cover of a weekly magazine obtained by the printing method of the present invention, in which 1 indicates the name of the weekly magazine, the issue number, and the name of the weekly magazine printed with ordinary printing ink on paper as the printing material. 2, a solid printing area formed by one of the two-component coloring type inks, and 3, forming and coloring on the solid printing area 2 using the other ink of the two-component coloring type ink. Additional images are shown.

The image forming section 1 uses ordinary printing ink as shown in FIG.
Print it out as shown. The margin area 4 other than the image forming area 1 is where a solid printing area 2 made of one of the two-liquid coloring inks will be formed in a subsequent process. After forming the image forming portion 1, as shown in FIG. 2b, a solid printing portion 2 is formed using one of the inks of the two-liquid coloring type ink. This solid printing part 2
are not limited to one location as shown in the figure, but may be provided in a plurality of locations at desired locations. The two-component colored ink here refers to a set of reactive inks in which two types of ink react with each other to develop a desired color, such as a combination of an ink containing tannic acid and an ink containing iron alum. A two-component colored ink, a two-component colored ink that combines an ink containing an alcohol solution of dimethylglyoxime and an ink containing nickel chloride, and an ink containing sodium thiocyanate and an ink containing cobalt nitrate. This is a two-component color-forming ink.

Therefore, this solid printing section 2 can be formed with one of the two-component color-forming inks at the same time as the printing of the image forming section 1, or another printing machine can be used before or after the printing of the image forming section 1. It may also be provided. Further, the forming method is not limited to the printing method, but may also be a coating method, a spray method, or the like. In FIG. 2, the solid printing section 2 is formed in the margin section 4 other than the image forming section 1.
Even if it is provided on the image forming section 1, the image forming section 1 and/or

Next, the other ink of the two-component coloring type ink is applied to the solid printing area 2 that has been formed in advance in the previous step.
Form additional image 3. Offset printing, letterpress printing, stamping printing, jet printing, etc. can be used to form this additional image 3, but when forming an additional image on the cover of a printed and bound weekly magazine, For this purpose, jet printing method, stamping printing method, etc. are suitable. When the additional image 3 is formed on the solid printing area 2 in this manner, the ink forming the solid printing area 2 and the ink forming the additional image 3 react with each other, and the additional image 3 becomes the desired image. Color develops and printing of the additional image is completed.

Although the present invention has been described above using printing on the cover of a weekly magazine as an example, the present invention is not limited thereto, and can be applied to printed matter whose printed content is likely to change. That is, only areas where fluctuations are likely to occur are left blank, a solid printing area is provided in this blank area with one of the two-component coloring inks, and then a blank is printed with the other ink of the two-component coloring ink. By adding information about the area, you can make the desired print.

In this way, in the present invention, since additional images are printed using the coloring reaction of the two-component color-forming ink, necessary additional images can be printed without staining the covers of other weekly magazines or the operator's hands. can be applied to the printed material after printing is completed. Moreover, when printing additional images with regular printing ink, crystallization and aftertack of pre-printed ink images tend to occur, as well as poor ink transfer, back printing, and smearing caused by poor ink drying. It becomes possible to print additional images without worrying about the occurrence of various phenomena such as the above.
