発明者らは、岩綿板の表面にパール塗料を塗布

単に塗るだけではパール光沢がでなかつた。そこ
で、種々検討を重ねた。その結果、下塗りする必
要があること、しかも単なる下塗りでなく微量の
撥水剤を含むエマルジヨン塗料で下塗する必要が
あること、その上にパール顔料を分散させたエマ
ルジヨン塗料を塗布すること、しかも上塗りはス
プレーを用いて行なう必要があることを見出し

しみ込みの強い岩綿板に対しても美しいパール光
沢を付与することができ、パール色岩綿板の製造
を可能とさせる。この方法によれば、パール光沢
の付与が可能であるため、凹凸模様、特に第１図
にみるごとき曲面彫りがなされている表面におい
ては気品のあるしつとりとした光沢が得られるよ
うになり、凹凸模様が他の塗料による着色の場合
よりもくつきりと浮き立つて見えるようになる。
