The applicant of the present application made a cut in a cable in which a plurality of covered electric wires were covered with a sheath, leaving the length of the covered electric wire exposed, and held the cable on the front side, and also clamped the vicinity of the cut in the rear side. By pulling the front sheath in the relative direction, the front sheath is separated from the cut, and at the same time the sheathing of each insulated wire in front of the cut is stretched all at once, and all that is left is to remove the separated sheath and separate the ends of each insulated wire. We have already developed a device for core wire alignment and have applied for a patent (Patent Application No. 105634-1987).
However, the device of this earlier application was dedicated to core wire work.

In addition, the applicant has compressed and retracted the sheathing at the end of the insulated wire with respect to the core wire to extrude the core wire from the sheathed end, and after attaching a crimp terminal to the protruding part of the core wire, from now on, the core wire should be reversed to the sheath. We have developed a device for attaching crimp terminals that allows the sheath to be placed over the protruding part of the core wire to which the crimp terminal is attached by retreating and restoring the sheath, but this device is also designed specifically for crimp terminal attachment work. It was hot. However, since both the core wire drawing device and the crimp terminal mounting device require a mechanism for moving the sheath and the core wire in relative directions, it is easy to share the structural members, and moreover, it is possible to easily share the structural members. Since crimp terminal attachment is often carried out at the same time, it would be even more convenient to use if the cable core drawing device could also be used for the crimp terminal attachment work.

First, when attaching a crimp terminal to the end of a covered wire, the cutter 15, the pressing piece 16, the holding piece 1
7 and the spring device 18 are removed (see Fig. 1), cut one end of the insulated wire A to align the insulated wire C end with the core wire B end, and support the operating rod 12, as shown in Fig. 4. With the rod 8 pulled toward the closed position and the movable die 6 separated from the fixed die 4, the end of the covered electric wire A1 is made to protrude to the left from the left end of the lower outer casing 1, and the fixed die 4 and movable die 6 are connected.
Place the upper and lower support rods 8 and 9 together to close the opposing outer casing 1, and then tighten the nut 10a and the engaging portion 11.
The wire is locked by engagement, and the covered wire A1 is pressed and clamped between the fixed die 4 and the movable die 6 facing each other.

Then, the operating rod 12 is pushed open with respect to the support rod 8, the movable die 6 approaches the fixed die 4, the coating C is compressed, and the core wire B protrudes from the end of the coating C. Here, the crimp terminal D is attached to the protrusion of the core wire B using another crimp tool (not shown). Then, the operating rod 12 is pulled toward the support rod 8 to separate the movable die 6 from the fixed die 4, and the core wire B protruding from the end of the sheath C to which the crimp terminal D is attached is pulled back into the sheath C. By restoring it, cover the attachment part of the crimp terminal D. In this way, the upper support rod 9 is swung upward to disengage the engagement portion 11 and the nut 10a, and the upper and lower outer casings 1 are opened, and the covered electric wire A 1
Once removed, installation of the crimp terminal is completed.

Next, when core wires are drawn out for cable A in which a plurality of covered wires A1 are covered with sheath C, the cutter 15, pressing piece 16, holding piece 17 and spring device 18 shown in FIG. When installed, as shown in Figure 3, with the outer casing 1 open, connect the cable A to its covered wire.
Protrude from the cutter 15 toward the fixed die 4 side by the exposed length of A 1 and place it on the fixed die 4 and movable die 6, and close the outer casing 1 by aligning the upper and lower support rods 8 and 9 and tighten the nut 10a. It is locked by the engagement of the engaging portion 11, and the cable A is pressed and clamped between the fixed die 4 and the movable die 6 facing each other.

When the operating rod 12 is pulled toward the support rod 8 and the movable die 6 is separated from the fixed die 4 against the spring device 18, the sheath C is cut away from the cut and at the same time the sheath of each covered wire A1 is removed. C1 is
It is pulled together with the cut sheath C over the core wire B 1 and extended toward the front part of the cut where the stretching resistance on the core wire B 1 is small, that is, toward the fixed die 4 side. Then, when you release your hand from the operating rod 12, the movable die 6 is returned to the fixed die 4 side by the spring device 18, so the upper support rod 9 is swung upward and engaged with the nut 10a and the engaging portion 11. , and remove the outer casing 1.
Open and take out cable A. Then, approximately the core wire B 1 end position of the front end of the cable 4 is cut using another cutter (not shown), and the separated front sheath C is longitudinally incised and removed, and the covered wire A 1 is removed. When stripped, the covering C 1 of each covered wire A 1 that has been stretched as described above restores and contracts, so that the ends of the core wires B 1 protrude all at once from the ends of each covered wire A 1 . In this way, the core line work for cable A is completed.

As explained above, according to the apparatus of the present invention, the core wire is removed from the end of the covered wire while stripping the covered wire from the end of the cable made of a plurality of covered wires covered with a sheath and taking out the core wire from the end of each covered wire. After extruding and attaching the crimp terminal, it can be used to cover the crimp terminal attachment part with a cover by simply removing a very small number of parts, which expands the scope of work and increases versatility. Since both of the above operations are often performed in parallel, it is more convenient to use, and most of the components are common to both operations, simplifying the structure, making the entire device compact and cost-effective. In addition to being cheaper, the work can be done in a shorter time than the conventional work of stripping the insulated wire from the cable using tools such as strippers and nippers, and then stripping the core wire from each insulated wire. This has the effect of making it possible to make the length of the core wires the same for each insulated wire without worrying about damaging the wires. In addition, when attaching a crimp terminal to the insulated wire, the core wire can be attached to the sheath of the insulated wire by operating the operating lever. Since it is relatively pushed out or pulled back, the operation is simple and can be done regardless of whether one is skilled or not, and can be done without causing any damage.
