本発明は、空冷式エンジンの構造に関するもの

出力側に油槽室を設け、該油槽室内においてクラ

室内の潤滑油の温度上昇が問題となつている。特
に、自走式の芝刈機に適用する空冷式エンジンに
おいては、芝刈機の車輪を駆動する補助出力軸と
クランクシヤフトとを減速ギヤを介して連係して
いるが、芝刈機は走行速度が一般に遅く減速ギヤ
の減速比も大きくなることから、減速ギヤを上記
油槽室内に配して潤滑する必要があり、このこと
によつて、油槽室の温度上昇も著しくなつてい

ダを経て加熱された空気で油槽室が冷却されるこ
とになるため、冷却が不十分であり、潤滑油の劣

槽室外周へ直接導くことにより、該油槽室の冷却
効果を高め、合わせて重量軽減を図つた空冷式エ

り、該油槽室の冷却効果を高めることができると
ともに、上記片持構造により軽量、小型化が図れ
