台8とから構成されており、モータ取付け台7は
ハウジング6と外刃取付け台8との間にはさみこ
むようにして組み立てられている。ハウジング6
の下部には電池収納室9が設けられていて電池収
納室9の下面開口は底蓋10によつて閉じられる
ように成つている。モータ11はモータ取付け台
7の下面に取り付けられていてハウジング6内上
部に収納されており、モータ取付け台7にベロー
ズパツキン12を介して挿通させられたモータ軸
13には内刃14が取着されており、モータ取付
け台7にはスイツチレバー16も挿通させられて
いる。また、外刃取付け台8には外刃15が取り
付けられ、外刃15は外刃カバー17で保護でき
るようになつている。第1図のX部のシール構造
を第2図に拡大して示してある。モータ取付け台
7はガラス入りABS樹脂によつて形成されてお
り、その下面には環状に固定溝2が周設され、こ
の固定溝2内にはスチレン系の熱可塑性合成樹脂
製のシール用リング(Oリング)1の基部(上周
縁部)がモータ取付け台7と同時一体成形によつ
て固着させられており、シール用リング1の先端
縁部は固定溝2から突出させられている。固定溝
2の内周壁3の高さL2は外周壁4の高さL3より
も大きくなつており、図示例では内周壁3の高さ
L2はシール用リング1の高さL1の1/2程度とし、
外周壁4の高さL3はL3<L2としてある。これに
よりシール用リング1は内周側を内周壁3に支持
されて成形時の熱収縮によつて内側に倒れるのが
大幅に防止され(第2図)、しかもモータ取付け
台7をハウジング6に取り付けてシール用リング
1を締め付けた時、外周壁4が低くなつているた
めにシール用リング1は外周側で変形が大きくな
り(第3図)、内側へ倒れず、ハウジング6との
間でのシール効果が大幅に向上するのである。こ
こにシール用リング1を保持する内周壁3及び外
周壁4は、シール用リング1の高さよりも低くす
る必要があるが、これはハウジング6でシール用
リング1を締め付けた場合、シール用リング1が
変形する量を逃がすことによりシール用リング1
の変形に対する反力変形を小さくすることがで
き、且つシール効果を高く保つことができ、シー
ル用リング1の劣化を少なく長期にわたつて均一
なシール力を得ることができるようにするためで
ある。
