本発明は、電気・電子機器の情報入力装置に関
し、特には各種機器の操作入力スイツチ手段とし

な各種の情報入力装置のシステマテイツクな出現
を促がした。この過程において、このような入力
手段に対しては、高い信頼性の追求と共に操作性
並びに計装・デザイン面と対応する設計の自由度
等と関連して小型・軽量化或いは薄膜化の要望が
なされ、また、その低コスト化と同等にそれらは
解決すべき大きな課題となつた。斯かる観点か
ら、第1図のように、複数個の所要固定接点パタ
ーン1を有する柔軟質または硬質ベース材2と、
該ベース材2上に設けられ上記各固定接点パター
ン1に連係してスイツチ動作空隙3を形成するよ
うに配置される絶縁性スペーサ4と、このスペー
サ4上に配装されて上記各固定接点パターン1と
対して各別にスイツチ動作を行なう複数個の可動
接点パターン5を有するスイツチシート6と、お
よびそれら構成部材間の接着材からなる接合層7
とから基本的に構成可能なダイヤフラム式キーボ
ードスイツチ、すなわちパネルキーボードは、既
述の諸要望に効果的に対応できる一形態として注
目され、現今種々の提案下に実用に供されてい

A diaphragm type keyboard switch, that is, a panel keyboard, which can basically be constructed from the above, has attracted attention as a form that can effectively meet the above-mentioned demands, and is currently being put into practical use under various proposals.
従つて、このようなパネルキーボードの性格か
ら、特にスイツチシート6の構成に当つては、使
用される分野或いは環境等を含めてその電気・機
械的特性並びに物理・化学的特性を十分考慮に入
れ例えばポリエステルフイルムの如き妥当なプラ
スチツクフイルム材料の採用がコスト面からも有
利であつて十分に実用性に耐え得るものの選択が
可能となつているが、殊に薄膜化を達成する上で
スイツチ動作空隙3を関連して生ずる問題は複雑
なものがある。すなわち、一般産業用並びに民生
用として広い適用性を持たせるには、それらの各
スイツチ動作空隙3を密閉状態に保持するのがス
イツチの接点パターン1,5の劣化対策からも好
ましいものであるが、密閉構造故にこの空隙3内
に閉じ込められた空気またはその他の気体が単純
にはスイツチ操作時に逃げ場を失ない場合によつ
ては確実なスイツチ動作を不能にするなど操作性
に重大な支障を与える。また、仮にスイツチ動作
を行なえたとしてもこの種のスイツチに共通の問
題となるチヤタリング若しくはバウンシングの事
態を更に悪化させる恐れがある。このような問題
は、第2図の如きパネルキーボードの他の形態で
あるクリツクまたはスナツプ動作可能なドーム部
9を有するスイツチシート10におけるスイツチ
動作空隙11の場合は、上記以上に更に重要な問
題となつて来る。第2図で8はドーム部9の下面
に設けるようにした場合の可動接点パターンを示

るが、本発明の構造のパネルキーボードによれば
層間に入つた空気はベース材の通路を通じてスイ
ツチ動作空隙の気体と一体となるので、上記のよ
うな問題を容易に解消することができるという特

るように構成したことを特徴とするパネルキーボ
