した後、該ワークを該上部台車の前進で該払出し
位置に搬出するようにしたもを提案したが、この
ものでワークの機種変更に際しては、第2治具を
第1治具にドツキングさせた状態で昇降枠との係
合を解き、下部台車により該両治具をワークセツ
ト位置に移動させて治具交換作業を行うを一般と
したもので、この場合ワークセツト位置に下部台
車から第1治具を持ち上げるチエーンブロツクや
コンボア等の各種治具交換部材を配置する必要が
あるため、ワークを置くためのスペースや作業ス
ペースが狭められて、ワークセツト作業の作業性
が悪くなる不都合を伴う。本発明は、上部台車に
備える昇降枠により第1治具を下部台車から持上
げて払出し位置に搬送し、該位置において第1治
具と第2治具とをドツキング状態で他の治具ユニ
ツトと交換し得るようにして上記の不都合を解消
した装置を提供することをその目的とするもの
で、ワークセツト位置とその前方の溶接位置との
間に往復動自在の下部台車と、該溶接位置とその
前方の払出し位置との間に往復動自在の上部台車
とを備え、該下部台車にワークセツト用の第1治
具と、該上部台車にこれに吊持せしめた昇降自在
の昇降枠を介して該第1治具上のワークを受取る
第2治具とを支持させるようにした自動溶接装置
において、該昇降枠に該第2治具用の第1クラン
プ部材に加えて該第1治具用の第2クランプ部材
を設けると共に、該払出し位置に該第2クランプ
部材によりドツキング状態に存する該第1治具と
該第2治具から成る治具ユニツトを他の治具ユニ
ツトと交換自在とする治具搬送装置を設けたこと
