aを有し、先端面側筒孔の周縁部を先端が肉薄で
後部外径を大径としたテーパ状ガイド筒部9した
短筒状治具10をマンドレルの下端部に嵌合さ
せ、そのガイド筒部先端をマンドレル外面と胴部
形成用筒の端部内面との間に差込み、そのまま押
込むことで該ガイド筒部の案内により胴部形成用
筒の端部を拡開して外方へ折曲げ、ないしは折返
すことで外向きフランジ4を形成させる。図示の
ように短筒状治具の押込みによつて胴部形成用筒
6が押込まれることを防止するため、圧接子11

成するが、上記外向きフランジおよびシール部を
形成するため、使用上差支えない程度の剛性を持
たせることが出来る。又製造方法にあつては、上
記円形パイプを塑性変形に適する温度下において
マンドレルに嵌合させておき、先端が肉薄で後部
外径を大径としたテーパ状ガイド筒部9を先端面
側筒孔周縁部から突出させた短筒状治具10をマ
ンドレルに嵌合させ、そのガイド筒部9先端をマ
ンドレル外面と胴部形成用筒の端部内面との間に
差込みそのまま押込むことで、該ガイド筒部の案
内により胴部形成用筒の端部を拡開して外方へ折
曲げ、ないしは折返すことで外向きフランジを形
成させるから、該外向きフランジの形成が極めて
容易で廉価に容器を製造することが出来る。
