Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、電子システムに関し、更に、制御又
は情報伝送のために電子的光放射装置の前面に選
択的に置かれるように設置される、ライト・ペン
として通常知られる操作可能な電子的光センサを
備えたシステムに関する。
テレビジヨン・スクリーン又は可視デイスプレ
イ装置（VDU）として機能する陰極線管
（CRT）の特定部分で走査スポツトの到着時間を
検出するために、ライト・ペンを使用することが
提案されてきた。例えば、米国特許第3181154号、
第3492657号及び第4017680号を参照されたい。こ
れに答えて、データ処理回路の動作を制御するこ
とができる。これらの従来の提案に於いて、時
間／位置又は座標検出システムは、走査スポツト
がライト・ペンで感知される瞬間を検出すること
によつて、CRT上のライト・ペンの位置を確立
するために使用される。
電子的光センサ及び電子的光放射装置の組合せ
は、更に融通性のある種々のタイプの制御又はデ
ータ伝送を与えるために、様々に使用できるとい
うことが評価されてきた。
本発明の第一の特徴によれば、電子的制御又は
データ伝送システムは、電子的光放射装置と、制
御又はデータ伝送のために電子的光放射装置の前
面に置かれるように選択的に設けられる操作可能
な電子的光センサと、光放射装置を変調する装置
と、光センサに接続され、センサ出力内の変調を
検出してパルス列を形成する装置と、より成る。
光センサは、感知信号を示す一列のパルスを形
成するパルス成形回路を備えることができる。結
果的に再発生した信号は、例えば、制御のために
直ちに使用することができ、或いは次の使用のた
めにメモリに記憶させることができる。
本発明の第二の特徴によれば、電子的制御又は
データ伝送システムは、バー・コード又はデジタ
ル変調光放射装置の出力のいずれかを選択的に感
知することができる操作可能な電子的光センサ
と、光センサの出力に接続され、且つセンサ出力
によつてバー・コードからのセンサ出力をデジタ
ル変調光放射装置からのセンサ出力から区別する
ように設けられる電子装置と、より成る。
本発明は、図を参照して以下詳細に説明され
る。
ライト・ペンがテレビジヨン・ラスターを表示
する陰極線管（CRT）の面に対して保持される
と、ライト・ペンは、走査スポツトがそれを通過
するときに照射される。それは、各フイールド内
の３又は４本のラインのリン包囲部分の小さなパ
ツチからの光を受けることができる。従つて、受
光信号は、スクリーンの該当部分の輝度が自然衰
退するときにほぼ指数的な衰退が追随する急峻な
パルスの小さな群より成り、このプロセスは、次
のフイールドが走査されるときに繰返される。毎
秒50フイールドの信号に対して、これはその後20
ｍ秒である。
ライト・ペンによつて検査される領域に於い
て、連続するフイールド走査が50バウド
（baud：ビツト／秒）の信号によつて変調される
電子ビームによつて形成されると、この信号は、
ライト・ペンの出力に重畳される変調として現わ
れる。特に、変調は２進形式のものでよく、即ち
スクリーンの適当な部分は、連続するフイールド
中に、一列の２進デジツト１及び０を示すために
必要とされる白又は黒であるようになされてもよ
い。これにより、50バウドの信号は容易に検出さ
れ、ライト・ペンの出力に与えられる簡単な処理
は、普通の非ゼロ復帰（non−return−to−
zero：NRZ）又は他の任意の必要な形式でそれ
を与えることができる。処理回路には、テレビジ
ヨン受信回路の内部からのフイールド率波形が供
給され、これは再サンプリング・プロセスで使用
される。
第１図は、本システムの典型的な例を示してい
る。フオトトランジスタを組込んだライト・ペン
１０は、英国特許出願第7935849号又は対応する
国際特許出願PCT／GB79／00164に記述された
様なテレビジヨン受信機１２の予プログラミング
及び制御で使用される。テレビジヨン・スクリー
ン１４には、用い得るプログラムのリストが表示
されており、各プログラムに対して、スクリーン
の小さな部分１６が必要なデータを伝えるときに
表示される。視聴者は、彼の視聴する興味の強度
に従つてこれらの部分にライト・ペンを適用し、
適当な情報は、パルス成形回路を含むプロセツサ
１８を介して受信機を制御するユニツトに供給さ
れる。
第２図は、必要なデータをテレビジヨン信号に
挿入するためにテレビジヨン・スタジオで使用す
る回路のブロツク図である。一組のウインド発生
器２０が使用され、該発生器は、テレビジヨン・
スクリーンに必要とされるように位置付けること
ができる平坦な領域のパツチ２２を発生する。そ
れぞれの平坦領域又はウインドは、隣接する制御
ユニツト２４の助けによつて用い得るプログラム
のタイトルがスクリーンに表示されるように配置
される。これらの領域は、連続するフイールドで
白又は黒のいずれかを現わすために、入力２８で
受信されたデータによつて切換えられ又は変調さ
れる。
受信機でのライト・ペン出力は、前述の出願に
記述された様な放送定期刊行物（broadcasting
periodical）からバー・コードを読み出すことに
対する二者択一として、将来の使用のために受信
機を制御し又はプログラムするように前述の出願
に記述されたシステムに従つて使用されるのが好
ましい。この場合に、パツチ２２は、共通に使用
される少くとも幾つかのデコード回路を作動する
ために、バー・コードに使用されるのと同様のデ
ジタル・フオーマツトで切換えられるのが好まし
い。
パツチ２２を変調することによつて伝送される
信号は、ゲート回路３０内のビデオ信号の対応部
分と置換される。コード化情報は、典型的には約
２秒の持続時間を有し、プログラムのトレイル
（trail）又はリステイング（listing）の間中、何
回か繰返される。
第３図は、第１図の受信機の回路の一部詳細図
を示している。ライト・ペン１０は、ラジオ・タ
イムスの様な放送定期刊行物３８からバー・コー
ド３６を読み出すか或いはテレビジヨン・スクリ
ーン１４からの等価情報を取り出すかのいずれか
のために使用することができる。
テレビジヨン・デイスプレイによつて発生され
る波形は、バー・コードにより発生される波形と
は相違している。何故なら、前者はCRTのリン
の自然衰退特性によつて影響を受けるからであ
る。
第４図は、望ましい２つの波形を示す波形図で
ある。ａに示されたCRTからの波形は、リンの
良く知られた指数的自然衰退特性を現わしてお
り、毎秒50フイールドの走査速度を仮定すると、
ビツト速度は50ビツトで設定される。然し乍ら、
ｂに示されたバー・コードからの信号は、矩形状
であり、そのビツト速度は、バー・コードが走査
される速度に依存して典形的には35ビツト／秒か
ら3.5キロビツト／秒の範囲にある。
CRTからの信号が微分されると、ｃに示され
た様に交番すると正と負の値を有する波形を形成
するが、前者のサイズは後者よりはるかに大き
い。他方、バー・コードからの微分信号は、ｄに
示された様に、等しい正と負の値を示す。
従つて、第３図の回路は、増幅器・4KHz低域
フイルタ回路４０を含み、この回路の出力は微分
器４２に接続される。この低域フイルタは、ライ
ン走査動作によつてCRT信号に誘起される高周
波成分を除去する。非対称検出器４４は、微分器
４２の出力を受信し、微分信号の平均値が無限か
零かを決定する。この目的のために、非対称検出
器は、正のピークと負のピークとをそれぞれ検出
するために接続される２つのピーク検出器と、こ
のピーク検出器の出力を組合わせる関連の抵抗ミ
キシング装置と、を含むことができる。従つて、
この回路は、ライト・ペン出力パルスが急峻な又
は衰退するトレイリング端のいずれを有するかを
区別する。
非対称検出器から得られる情報は、例えば再ト
リガ可能な単安定回路の様なCRT情報に適した
パルス伸長回路４８、或いはバー・コード情報に
適した既知のタイプの簡単なスライサ５０のいず
れかを回路に選択的に関連させるスイツチ４６を
動作させるために使用される。スイツチ４６の出
力は、バー・コードに対して通常使用される形式
のデコーダに与えられ、それ故前述の出願に記述
されたタイプの回路に与えられる。
本発明は記述された実施例に限定されずに多く
の変更が可能である。例えば、ライト・ペンは、
おそらく中間記憶器を介して、データをハード・
コピー・プリンタに伝送してテレビジヨン・スク
リーンから利用できる情報を記録するように接続
することができる。デイスプレイの他の形式もま
た可能であり、それらは、ラジオ又はテレビジヨ
ン受信機、或いは電話に付設される単一の光放射
ダイオードと同程度に簡単なものとすることがで
きる。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は、関連するライト・ペンを備えた放送
テレビジヨン受信機を示す図である。第２図は、
受信機が共に使用できるテレビジヨン送信機の一
部のブロツク回路図である。第３図は、受信回路

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 二次元フイールド走査デイスプレイと、連続
    するフイールド走査中に、前記デイスプレイ上の
    少なくとも１つの予め定められた部分のみの光の
    強度を予めデータによつて変調し、変調されたデ
    ータを伝送するビデオ信号源と、 前記デイスプレイ上の前記予め定められた部分
    に対して配置される操作可能な電子的光センサ
    と、 前記光センサの出力における前記変調されたデ
    ータを検出してパルス列のコード化情報を形成す
    るために、前記光センサに接続される手段、 を備えたことを特徴とする電子制御又はデータ伝
    送システム。 ２ バー・コード或いはデジタル変調光放射装置
    の出力のいずれかを選択的に感知することができ
    る操作可能な電子的光センサと、該光センサの出
    力に接続され、且つ前記光センサの出力によつて
    前記バー・コードからのセンサ出力を前記デジタ
    ル変調光放射装置からのセンサ出力から区別する
    ようにした電子装置と、を備えた電子制御又はデ
    ータ伝送システム。 ３ 前記区別する電子装置が、前記光センサから
    のパルスが急峻な立下り端或いは減衰する立下り
    端を有するかどうかを検出する特許請求の範囲第
    ２項記載の電子制御又はデータ伝送システム。
