[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention provides a method for temporarily placing various devices at the mouth of a hot metal transport container called a torpedo car in a steelworks. This invention relates to a sealing material laying device for preventing molten material from spouting and scattering.

Traditionally, at steelworks, hot metal was transported from the blast furnace factory to the converter factory using torpedo cars to be turned into steel in the converter, but in recent years, from the perspective of improving productivity, preliminary treatment of hot metal has been carried out before refining in the converter. However, so-called desiliconization and dephosphorization outside the converter began to be carried out between the blast furnace and the converter. Although the method of hot metal pretreatment differs slightly depending on the scale of the factory, desiliconization is generally carried out in a runner, commonly known as a cast bed trough, through which the hot metal flows between the blast furnace and the torpedo car.

Since it is difficult to completely separate the desiliconization slag generated in the cast bed trough, it flows into the torpedo car together with the hot metal. Moreover, since the inflowing desiliconization slag has a high viscosity, it becomes foamy due to the inflowing gas and the generated gas, filling the inside of the torpedo car, thereby reducing the storage capacity of the hot metal. Therefore, in order to improve the molten metal storage capacity, an attempt was made to temporarily place a receiving container at the torpedo car furnace mouth and allow the desiliconization slag to overflow. However, the furnace mouth is severely damaged due to the repeated discharge of hot metal and molten slag, and the surface of the furnace mouth is severely uneven. The overflowing desiliconization slag flows out from the gap, damaging the torpedo car skin and making it difficult to dispose of the slag flowing out on the road surface, which is undesirable from a safe environment, and countermeasures are required.

Also, in the dephosphorization process, the dephosphorization equipment is loaded from the furnace mouth of the torpedo car and the dephosphorization agent is injected.
Since the spouting of molten particles called splash occurs violently, a splash prevention cover is installed in advance for blowing. However, as mentioned above, due to the unevenness of the furnace mouth surface, if only the splash cover is used, the difference between the furnace mouth surface and the splash cover is It was difficult to keep the space airtight. Therefore, there has been a need for a device that can easily and inexpensively make the gap between the torpedo car furnace mouth and various temporarily installed devices airtight without interfering with other operations.

The present invention aims to meet the above-mentioned needs by providing a sealing material laying device that makes the gap between the mouth surface of a torpedo car and various temporarily placed devices airtight. A conical core, which is approximately the same in shape, and an outer cylinder that contacts the lower outer periphery of the core are slidably connected to a hanging beam, and a sealing material is stored between the core and the outer cylinder. A sealing material laying device for a torpedo car furnace opening is characterized in that a space is formed and the entire outer periphery of the core can be opened and closed by the operation of placing the core.

Torpedo cars store hot metal and have a furnace port at the top for storing and discharging hot metal, and for discharge to the furnace port, it is elliptical in the direction of tilting of the container, and the edge surface of the furnace mouth is not damaged by melting. It is also made of refractory material to ensure that it does not lose its functionality. For example, the inner surface of the furnace mouth in the longitudinal direction, which is subject to melting damage, is 1.4 m, the outer diameter is 2.7 m, and the rim width is widened. Therefore, the sealing material laying device of this embodiment has a support frame 2 protruding from the top surface of a cone-shaped core 1 having a bottom surface shaped approximately along the center of the inner and outer diameters of the furnace mouth. A joint 3 having a dovetail groove is attached to the shaft, and a slide shaft 4 is erected at both ends. The slide shaft 4 passes through a slide tube 6 provided on a hanging beam 5 and has a stopper 7 on the head to prevent it from falling off.
Furthermore, in the center of the suspension beam 5, a tongue key 8 which can be attached and detached from the joint 3 is arranged in parallel at a position facing the joint 3, and a trunnion 9 is provided protruding from both ends so that the periphery of the lower end is connected to the lower part of the core 1. The outer cylinder 10 is vertically aligned with the elongated holes 12 of the bracket 11 provided on both upper surfaces of the outer cylinder 10, which has a structure in contact with the peripheral surface, and supports the outer cylinder 10 in a hanging manner, and a sealant storage space 13 is provided between the core 1 and the outer cylinder 10. This is a device that makes up the

The sealing material laying device connects a hanging member 15 to a hanging hand 14 provided on a hanging beam 5, and installs it on the furnace mouth surface 18 of a torpedo car 17 by raising and lowering a traveling hoist 16 as shown in FIGS. do. Therefore, a refractory fine particle inorganic sealing material 19 such as sand or fine slag is stored in the sealing material storage space 13 of the sealing material laying device and the torpedo car 17 is placed under the device using the hoist 16. After installing the device under the lower surface, the hanging beam 5 is lowered along the elongated hole 12 until the trunnion 9 of the hanging beam 5 reaches the edge of the prepared hole. Due to the lowering of the hanging beam 5, the tip of the tongue key 8 is pressed by the bottom surface inside the joint 3, and the tongue key 8 turns 90 degrees, and the tip of the tongue key 8 is easily removed from the dovetail groove of the joint 3. When the beam 5 is lifted, the tongue key 8 slips out from the joint 3 as shown in FIG. 4, and along the slide axis, the hanging beam 5 becomes in a state where only the outer cylinder 10 is lifted, and the outer peripheral surface of the core 1 is opened and the sealing material 19 is released. It is naturally discharged to the furnace mouth surface 18.

Next, when putting sealant into the sealant storage space of this sealant laying device, if this device is still lifted, the core 1 is lifted together with the outer cylinder 10 by the stopper 7 and moved to the sealant supply position. When the suspension beam 5 is lowered until the trunnion 9 reaches the edge of the upper hole of the elongated hole 12, the tongue key 8 is pressed by the bottom surface of the joint 3, and the tongue key 8 turns 90 degrees again to connect with the joint 3. The outer peripheral surface of the core 1 is closed to form a sealing material storage space 13. After that, the sealing material may be put into the sealing material storage space.

The reason why refractory fine particle inorganic materials such as sand or fine slag are used as the sealing material of the present invention is because the debris ejected from the gap between the furnace mouth and various installation devices is high-temperature gas and molten matter. It is preferable to have a particle structure that does not suffer from melting or scattering until the process is completed, and that can be easily made airtight by the weight of various devices. for example
It is preferable that the particles have a particle size of 0.1 mm to 2 mm and have excellent compressibility of about 80% or more. Further, it is preferable that the thickness of the sealing material is thicker than covering the irregularities on the surface of the torpedo car furnace mouth surface.

The purpose of covering the core of the device of the present invention with refractory material is to prevent thermal distortion of the device due to radiant heat from the molten material inside the torpedo car.
This device can be protected by stretching 100mm. or,
The reason why the core and outer cylinder are made to be slidable is that the sealing material discharge port can be opened and closed in a safe position by raising and lowering the suspension beam, or by operating a so-called hoist, as described in the explanation of the above-mentioned device. As described above, the mechanism is characterized by the connection mechanism between the hanging beam and the core outer cylinder.

As mentioned above, the present invention is a simple device that does not require any skill to prevent molten material from ejecting and scattering from the gap between the torpedo car furnace mouth and various temporary devices, which has been a problem in the past, and can be introduced into existing equipment. Since it is easy and can be carried out at low cost, it is useful for improving productivity and safe operation in the steel industry.
